Netvibes Premium 1.1: Enhanced analytics, CSV exporting & improved auto-content

About a month ago, we launched Netvibes Premium and the response has been excellent. Brand marketers, freelance consultants and social media professionals around the world have signed up to try the powerful social analytics and alert features in Netvibes Premium. Enhanced Analytics

Thanks again for your feedback and suggestions. We’ve listened and improved our analytics apps with some significant changes. Instead of just mentions, we now evaluate based on articles when measuring tone and trends. This gives you smarter results based on the overall tone of an article, instead of the simple keyword mention counts offered by some other analytics.

"I love it when a plan comes together!"

As you probably already know, yesterday, went offline for an extended period of time. What was supposed to be a standard feature upgrade turned into a very long & stressful night for our team, all of that because of a hardware failure.

So what went wrong? To make a long story short, our master servers suddenly decided it would be fun to crash, right in the middle of the update, forcing us to promptly switch on our slave servers… which were not too happy about it, and eventually started acting out too, resulting in a dreadful “core dumped” message.

You know the rest.

Fortunately, we have plenty of backups and our tech team was able to get everything back to normal after a few hours of stress and hard work. In the end, no dashboards were harmed during the course of this unfortunate incident.

You might still experience a few hiccups in the next days while we put everything back in order and reconfigure the servers to work flawlessly. In any case, we are monitoring the situation very closely to make sure everything is now ok.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and support during the downtime. It was really motivating to see all the comments on Twitter about how much Netvibes was a part of your daily lives. For us, it is our daily life.
