The Potion app connects the inputs on your dashboard, such as Tracked Topics and Analytics, and triggers outputs when certain conditions are met. Setup email alerts to notify you and your team when analytic metrics change in a certain way. Be notified when competitors announce new products or new patents in your field of interested are published. Create automated email reports to keep your team updated to changes on the dashboard. In this video, we’ll cover how potions are configured generally, what some of the key input and output ingredients are and some common potion configurations.
In the fourth installment of our five-part series of NETVIBES Industry Intelligence training videos, we’ll be focusing on Analytics. The Social Analytics app provides the ability to filter the articles on your dashboard in the same way as the Tracked Topic app, however rather than simply a list of articles, the output is in the form of charts and graphs allowing you to uncover trends and themes across larger numbers of articles.
We will show you how the Social Analytics app is configured and what the various outputs and metrics available in each are. We will highlight how these various options can be combined to create a broad, overall analysis for a particular subject. We will also show how insights can be found and how different topics can be compared which can be particularly useful in competitive scenarios or when comparing different products within a portfolio. We’ll finish with a guide on how to use the Opinions feature.

It’s time for the third installment of our five-part series of NETVIBES Industry Intelligence training videos. Today the focus is on Tracked Topics. We will cover the Tracked Topic app and how you can leverage it to take advantage of all the sources you added to your Library apps (see Video #2) to start to monitor more specific topics of interest.
We will show you how the Tracked Topic app can be used to segment the articles on your dashboard and how you can filter the content to focus on your company, product or other topic of choice. We’ll demonstrate how you can narrow your search simply using the user interface, as well as introduce you to the basics of Boolean syntax and walk through an example of how a typical Boolean query is formed to ensure that the articles being returned are relevant to your subject of interest. Finally we’ll cover the display preferences available in a configured Tracked Topic.
This is the first in a series of training videos covering the NETVIBES Information Intelligence apps on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
In this video, titled “Dashboards,” we begin by introducing the very basics of using NETVIBES apps in the context of the 3DDashboard. The training program that these videos will be a part of is intended for customers, and this video in particular may be a bit simplistic for existing 3DDashboard users; however, the videos that will follow will include some more advanced tips and tricks and best practices. The videos are performed using an R2020x environment and there have been a few UI changes recently, related to libraries, so these tutorials are fully up to date with those changes.
