Since Netvibes was acquired by our parent company Dassault Systemes in 2012, our engineering team has worked diligently to continue building new technical innovations on the dashboard, as well as collaborate toward complete integration with Dassault Systemes’. Today we are excited to announce a major milestone: all new Netvibes technology now works natively on the 3DDashboard. Future innovations in Netvibes Dashboard Intelligence will be immediately synced and available for 3DEXPERIENCE users, as well as our Netvibes dashboard users.
Available for Enterprises and Teams, Netvibes Pushmails are automated email reports that you can send to anyone, on any schedule, using the exact graphs and information you want to include. You can design unlimited Pushmails to keep teams informed about brand mentions and other metrics, send an automatic monthly report to clients, and much more.
Today we are pleased to announce that Pushmails are now supported by Netvibes Potions, delivering even more customization options to help you keep everyone informed, 24/7/365.
Netvibes Potions allow you automate custom interactions from the dashboard–for example: If these 2 things happen, then do X; otherwise, do Y and Z. (To learn more about Potions, visit our documentation page.)
Now that Pushmails are a supported “Action” for Potions, you can schedule Pushmails to be sent in response to any Potion trigger. You can schedule Pushmails to go out at a specific time, in response to apps or data, or only when a data trend erupts. For example:
- Reports-on-Demand: When Client A sends me an email that includes keywords “numbers this week,” then automatically send the “Weekly Client A” Pushmail report.
- Report-when-Metric-is-achieved: When our social media campaign reaches its target goal, automatically send a Pushmail report to the team.
- Report-when-Data-trends: When our website traffic declines for 2 weeks in a row, automatically send me a Pushmail report analyzing our top web traffic sources.
Potions with Pushmail feature a new dashboard wizard, delivering even more control over the content and style of your email reports. You can easily add or remove articles, apps and dashboard tabs to your Pushmail. You can also change the colors and styling, as well as easily change the order of any the content you’ve chosen to include in any Pushmail.
Netvibes Universal Search (available for VIP and Premium dashboards) makes it quick and simple to locate any piece of content or information from your dashboard. Simply type in a keyword, use Boolean search terms, or drill down by facets–including people, geographical location, sentiment (negative/positive/neutral), and more.
Beginning today, Premium users can now merge multiple entities together in Universal Search in order to avoid redundancies and analyze data in different ways. Here’s how it works.
In Universal Search, named entities are typed information that can be extracted from your personal corpus or sources. The Netvibes dashboard automatically identifies these entities. For example: “Donald J. Trump” is an entity under the “People” facet, and “Super Bowl” is an entity under the “Event” facet.
Netvibes’ goal is to always provide you with accurate answers to the questions you want to ask. With many redundant names in use for brands, people and events, it can be difficult to get accurate insights on the topics most important to you. Using Mr. Trump as an example, there are many different entities referring to him, such as: “Donaldrump,” “Presiden John Trump,” “Donald J. Tt Trump” and more. By default, the Netvibes dashboard tracks each of these entities separately. If you want to analyze “President Trump” mentions versus “Donald J. Trump” mentions, that’s easy to do.
But what if you want to analyze ALL Trump mentions (regardless of the name people call him)? You can now easily merge entities together on the Netvibes dashboard to avoid redundancies and group similar words together for clearer insights. This feature also streamlines the analytics on your dashboard to reveal more accurate results. For example, a Word Cloud graph showing the most popular words associated with “Donald Trump” might be cluttered with Trump names, but after you merge the entities together, the Word Cloud will list Trump only once, thereby revealing other terms associated with the topic.
To merge entities on the dashboard, click on an entity (example: “Donald J. Trump”), and from the menu click “Associate with.” Following the wizard instructions, you can associate any entity(ies) with another entity. Here are some examples where this is useful:

We are excited to announce that our completely redesigned website has launched today for all new Netvibes users! Check it out at netvibes.com.
Netvibes brings the power of Dashboard Intelligence to everyone–individual users and enterprises alike. Our completely redesigned website, netvibes.com is focused on enhancing the individual experience so that everyone can get more value out of their dashboards. With an all-in-one master dashboard for your digital life, you can save time online, increase your productivity, stay informed about any topic, control your smart devices and much more.
Here’s what’s new for individual users at Netvibes.com:
New wizard: create dashboards on the fly
When you sign up for a new account at netvibes.com, you will see our new wizard that makes it simple to set up your own dashboard. Pick your library(ies) of sources you want to track, enter any keywords of special interest, and click “Dashboard it!” In just a few clicks, you will have a custom dashboard tailored to your interests that can track and analyze any topic. Currently the new wizard is available for new Netvibes accounts only but will soon be expanded to all existing Netvibes users.
The What and Where Analytics apps offer several ways to represent their results, one of which is “Text cloud”. Text cloud displays the main keywords mentioned in the results. The more occurrences of a keyword, the bigger it is displayed. This view is especially convenient to spot trending topics at a glance.
However, this view may also generate some noise or display keywords you are not interested in. For instance, an overall What analysis of the New York Times’ homepage feed may show the keywords “BBC” and “Reuters” even though NYT’s sources may not be relevant to you.
That’s where the new improvements come into play. You are now able to hide the irrelevant keywords. To do so, click on the keyword you want to hide and click on the “Hide” option and “Done”. The app will automatically refresh to effectively hide the keyword and display the next keyword in line.
With Netvibes Premium for Team, a team leader creates a Master Dashboard with all the content and Social Analytics apps that are relevant to every person on his or her team. Each member – including the team leader – then retrieves a copy of that Dashboard. All the tags added to any copy are shared across the team while other actions – like adding content – are only visible on the copy. Netvibes Premium for Team allows you to collaborate without overwhelming your colleagues with information that is irrelevant to them.
The team leader can choose who is allowed to edit the Master Dashboard and who is not.
If you are allowed to edit a Master Dashboard, switching from your own copy to the Master Dashboard will soon be easier than ever: Simply log into your Netvibes account on netvibes.com and open your list of Dashboards.
Click on the “Publisher” line and you will instantly be taken to the Master Dashboard. Make all the edits you want. When you are done, click on the “Subscriber access” button located on the top left-hand corner and you will taken to your private copy.
It is that easy! You will no longer need to log into the Manager to switch back and forth between your own copy and the Master Dashboard.

By analyzing citizen complaints and other online transportation data, Netvibes’ Smart City Dashboard empowers city officials to immediately respond to incidents and improve transit services.
Smart Cities of the future will leverage technology, including data analytics and automation, to better serve citizens and visitors in all aspects of urban life. Transportation is one area that is especially ripe for disruption through the power of data. By analyzing traffic patterns, citizen complaints and other information in real time, city officials can respond immediately to problems and allocate resources more efficiently.
At the 2016 World Cities Summit in Singapore, government leaders and industry experts gathered together to address challenges and share integrated urban solutions. Netvibes provided a Smart City Dashboard for the event, focused on transportation and mobility issues in Singapore.
Challenge: To capture and analyze online citizen feedback in order to continuously improve Singapore’s mobility services
Solution: The Netvibes Smart City Dashboard gathers a variety of online sources, including news, blogs and social media, to analyze what Singaporeans think about transportation in their city. Custom charts reflect real-time data trends, while automated alerts keep city officials informed about important issues. Automatic actions, triggered by data insights, enable the city to immediately respond to incidents and even tweet automatic replies to citizens.
The dashboard is divided into several tabs, designed for different roles in the city government, such as Mayor and the Mobility Manager. The hierarchical nature of the dashboard ensures that insights can be shared readily across departments, while each user has a streamlined view of the information that’s essential to his or her specific role.
Role 1: Mayor
With many wide-ranging topics competing for the mayor’s attention, the mayor needs a dashboard focused on high-level trends in transportation. For example, the mayor can immediately get answers to questions like:
- Overall, are citizens happy about transportation in the city?
- What is the trend in sentiment? Are people happier this week than last?
Netvibes dashboards deliver the real-time intelligence you need to monitor everything that matters to your business. With our newly launched Geolocation search facet, you can now visualize on a map where news is happening or where conversations are taking place.
With just a click from the dashboard, you can instantly create a new map to see where any topic is being discussed. The map data reflects all of the locations that are mentioned in the relevant articles, but not where the articles are published. For example, an article about the Russian president’s trip to Iran published by the New York Times would be counted as a hit both for “Russia” and for “Iran,” but not “New York.” This level of categorization is important because it provides a comprehensive overview of all locations involved while delivering reliable, trustworthy results.
