Build a Twitter Dashboard–All From a Single Twitter Widget!

Easily create your own real-time dashboard with our new self-replicating Twitter widget

Twitter widget

Last month, we launched our new self-replicating widgets, including a new Twitter widget that let’s you drag-and-drop friends and hashtags to create new Twitter widgets to follow each person or topic. But did you know that you can create a entire Twitter dashboard all from a single, self-replicating Twitter Widget? Here’s how to make your own killer dashboard in less than a minute:

  1. Add the Twitter widget to your Netvibes page.
  2. Click Edit and enter your Twitter account info. Now your Twitter widget is linked to your account. You can post messages and read about all the friends you follow.
  3. That’s it! Now whenever you see interesting posts or conversations, simply click and drag the highlighted username or hashtag to somewhere else on your page and it will automatically create a separate Twitter widget to follow that person or topic.

Your dashboard will grow naturally this way along with your interests, one Twitter widget at a time. Later on, if you find there are some friends or topics you no longer want to follow, simply click the X on the upper-right corner to get rid of it.

Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile So let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch!
