Todo list, Calendar module, box.net and other improvements
Netvibes has released today a bunch of powerful updates for some modules.
We improved first the iCal module visualisation that give you alternative view modes : weekly or monthly will be more useful. Now you can see in an easiest way your events who are represented in blue and tooltips are still here to give you details for each one. Our Ical should be now compatible with most of the services including the most exotic one. As usual let us know if we missed some and we would like to thanks all of you who helped us tune this application.

There’s also a new face lift for the Todo list with drag and drop support for reordering your tasks the way you want. You can rename them by doing a single click on the text, and quickly add a new task without having to go to the edit menu. We definitly listened to your comments on this. Let us know if you would like more features. But let’s keep in mind we want to keep this module as simple as possible for the daily use.

thanks to your feedback, we have implemented some little upgrades on the product :
- RSS reader: the full screen RSS reader now closes when changing tab,
- the total unread number is shown in the page title,
- mark all items in a tab as read by clicking on the count number (I know a lots of you requested this feature)
- better autodetection for content subscription (RSS, Atom, iCal, HTML API)
- box.net is now easier to manage: renaming files is a pleasure, and check out our new icon set !
If you notice remaining problems, don’t hesitate to tell us!
Enjoy and remember to use our feedback form to report bugs its simpler for us to centralize informations !

But for the ToDO list, we have limited number of characters (50), isn’t it ?

cheers from Bulgaria!
#13 | Cim | April 29th, 2006 at 03:07
Wow! It now saves POP3 email login info. That’s amazing!
I’d like to report a weird thing with it though. Clicking the two arrows icon for refresh does not work, it just says that there’s "No info for the account". Refreshing the page fixes it though.
I love the new features as well, even though I’m actually more stoked about the email notification working again. It’s just excellent!
#14 | James | April 29th, 2006 at 03:16
Whooo! Thanks for the todo list changes
. In the past I’ve had to delete and re-add them all so I can prioritize things – thanks a lot.
#15 | benplaut | April 29th, 2006 at 03:51
once again, it would be nice for the box.net module to detect if you have a premium account, and remove the upgrade ad if you do
#16 | JOJOFACE | April 29th, 2006 at 04:34
Am I the only one having troubles reorganizing my todo list? My todo list is at the bottom of my page, you have to scroll down a bit, and when I click and drag it doesn’t work, unless I drag to the bottom of the screen. It’s as if the screen, according to the todo list, has changed position. I don’t know if that made sense.
iCal module is a DREAM!
I love it.
#17 | JOJOFACE | April 29th, 2006 at 04:36
#10: I would love to see that, too.
#18 | Joaquin Moran | April 29th, 2006 at 05:12
Good job netvibes!!!!
It would be cool to be able to subscribe to more than one calendar on the same calendar module (like google calendar, each calendar with it’s own color, but in the same "calendar")
#19 | Motivr | April 29th, 2006 at 05:37
@17, that’s exactly what i want. color coded Multiple ical feeds in the same iCal module would be great.

Bravo les gars !!
je l’aime votre service.
Plus qu’à trouver un moyen de sauvegarder tout ça offline (surtout les favoris) et netvibes sera proche de la perfection
#23 | Pilgrim | April 29th, 2006 at 09:32
#24 | Ohad | April 29th, 2006 at 09:38
Great update.
Netvibes is quickly becoming a tool i cannot do without.
I personalized it to allow me better control of my blog and it’s just amazing.
Keep the good (net)vibes running

Great job! Bravo les amis! Tout à fait de l’avis de Rfly, manque une sauvegarde. L’idéal serait qu’elle soit automatisée et postée en pièce jointe. La synchro avec Outlook serait également bienvenue.
#28 | Homer | April 29th, 2006 at 10:15
Thanks for these two great featurs.
One thing I miss the most is the option using two columns for the iCal, when on weekly view one column is too narrow
#29 | Cyloo | April 29th, 2006 at 10:44
Toujours aussi excellent ! Merci
#30 | Adrian | April 29th, 2006 at 12:04
The new iCal module is really nice!
But the feature I miss, is the ability to show several webcals in _one_ module (at best with different colors for each webcal).
I have splitted my gCal in several sub-calendars like personal, uni and work. In order to have all my information at hand on my netvibe, I currently need three iCal modules, which take up way to much space that way…

Great great great !
I’ve been useing Netvibes since the start basicly and I’m loving it.
It really is improving fast !
Anyway, what I would like to see to be added at the Box.net module, some sort of statusbar when you’re uploading a file and build something that you upload multiple files in 1 time.
Thx alot and keep up the good work !

Great! Loved the improvements!
I have an issue with the iCal module: in the "Week" and "Month" displays, the labels are larger than the columns in Portuguese, so I can’t see all weekdays… It’s better to label them as "Seg, Ter, Qua, Qui, Sex, Sab, Dom".
A request: please hide the password on the URL of secure RSS feeds when you click "Edit"… Like you do in gmail and pop3 modules. Thank you!
#42 | Hermann Klinke | April 29th, 2006 at 17:58

Woooooonderfull job !!! nice improvements.
Uhmmm, see, my agenda is not opening, week and month view is ok.
Im using firefox current ver.
#47 | Jeff Staple | April 30th, 2006 at 07:55
I have the exact opposite problem as #40: I put an event on Google Calendar as May 1, but iCal places it tomorrow (April 31).
Great job on the ToDo List BTW. The lack of drag-and-drop organizing was my only complaint before the update. Now I think it has reached a plateau.
I don’t know if it’s possible, but I’d like to see a DeviantArt module for the DA message center. It’s a pain having to check up every so often to see if I’ve gotten new messages.
I’ll also echo the suggestions of #10 and #29.
Finally, as awesome as Netvibes looks, it would still be cool to have a personal page editor for themes or CSS.
#48 | Luke | April 30th, 2006 at 08:28
great improvement on the GUI of the iCal-module, love the ‘week’ display. It’s still has the wrong times though…
#49 | Matt Barker | April 30th, 2006 at 08:37

#52 | starcrouz | April 30th, 2006 at 16:14
Great, great !
So great to be able to re-order the task in the todo list!
In the Ical module, it should more clear to see dates ( in agenda mode) like :
[tue 2 march] instead of 02/03/2006
because we now already we are in 2006
because it is easier to see weekdays
and more
[thu 3] instead of 03/03/2006
because we now know we are in march.
Thanks again for your great work !
#53 | tg | April 30th, 2006 at 16:59
I am missing possibility of adding events in iCal directly from netvibes module instead of adding it into my Google Calendar. It would be great to keep it in one place

seems to me that "agenda" component in ical not working properly. They appear in calendar views but not in agenda lists. base on australia est. 24 hr format. ddww
#56 | Cyrus | May 1st, 2006 at 13:39
The new calendar update is nice.. but I’m still waiting on ability to open Google Calendar in a new window by clicking on an event or on the Google Calendar module title. Seems like a waste to have to craete a link for it in my Links Module. But not to take away from the great improvements… thanks!
#57 | Phil Howard | May 1st, 2006 at 16:52
Wow, great upgrade to task list. A really nice feature would be the ability to share task-lists with someone else. My wife and I each have our own net-vibes homepage and it’d be really useful if we could share a task list.

A little bug : If you create an event in Google Calendar which is laid on several days, it won’t appear as a multidays event in the icall reader, coloring just the first day of the event and not at all the others…
Otherwise, congratulations, this a really great feature, and netvibes.com is my start page since i discovered it, that means everything ! Nice job guys !!
#60 | xkalibur | May 1st, 2006 at 22:21
I’m having the same issue as #40 and #45: two events now that I’ve put on Saturdays show up on the following day, Sunday. One for Apr. 27th the other was on the 20th.
Other than that, thanks a lot for these updates. This is how I originally envisioned a calendar module (not just a list of items), and the missing list reordering is why I hadn’t been using the todo module.
#61 | Max | May 2nd, 2006 at 00:20
Hello,
A little bug on iCal module visualisation. I dont get the arrows to change week or month that are displayed on your example. I use google Calendar.
By the way, thanks for the Great job

Can’t wait until RememberTheMilk release their API so we update/edit our tasks in NetVibes.
#63 | cotik | May 2nd, 2006 at 07:26
a bientot
#64 | Ben | May 2nd, 2006 at 09:40
Another idea: Feed Aggregator
I have a few tabs that contain many specifics for various interests of mine… and a main page that contains a quick overview… I could show more content on the front page if I could aggregate the feeds from other tabs into a single box on the main page and show maybe then 10 most recent headlines across N feeds from all of my Tech News sources. This would give an "at-a-glance" view. To set this up I could either add a list of feed URLs, an OPML file or some set of "My Feeds"
#65 | Melo | May 2nd, 2006 at 10:21
Now, with the new changes, the text in the To Do items is very short, only 50 characters!.
#66 | Tim | May 2nd, 2006 at 10:44
Box.net module just still loads not.
When I edit the "add" module, my files appear but when added it keeps the "loading…" string on it.
Can you help me ?
#67 | Ron | May 2nd, 2006 at 10:48
First of all: love the new features especially the ToDo ones.
…with a few exceptions
– As #63 mentioned, 50 characters is too small.
– While I understand why the quick link to create a New To Do item was inserted under the To Do list, I don’t like it because I won’t use it that much that it will bother me to click Edit and then insert the New To Do there. This is my case, at least. If this is useful for lots of people that’s fine by me. I would only ask if you can make it optional or something.
Thanks for everything, Netvibes team! Keep on rockin’
#68 | arkoudos | May 2nd, 2006 at 11:09
Hi, great site, great job.
I have a small problem: you have changed the ToDO list, but i have now a small problem:
In the past, i was putting links as an todo item. I could cick on them – and a new page open.
Now, every click on the item, makes it a edit box. Could you – instead of clicking on an item for editing, just put an edit icon?
Thanks.
#69 | leandr | May 2nd, 2006 at 12:19
It will be really cool to drag and drop tasks from ToDo lists between more that one ToDo list
Thanks!
#70 | leandr | May 2nd, 2006 at 12:25
ToDo list BUG: if I edit task in list or add it via "New To Do" link, I can’t write more than 50 symbols.
#71 | MarkitoXs | May 2nd, 2006 at 14:33
It would be great, if it was posssible to put more than one calendar at the same time in the box. I use 2 calendars-cattegories (on google calendar), one for classes, and one for private. Now I have 2 boxes, one with each one. And also color on them!
Thx for doing this possible.
#72 | Josef | May 2nd, 2006 at 14:55
Hi, does this work with the Microsoft Exchange Calendar?
#73 | Michael | May 2nd, 2006 at 16:03
YES PLEASE – the possibility of adding multiple calendars in ONE box would be really really useful – i think most users use several calendars…
#74 | Blai Garcia | May 2nd, 2006 at 17:46
It could be interesting add the "DUE DATE" field
#75 | Kombatant | May 2nd, 2006 at 19:09
I was recently introduced to Netvibes, and I must say that I am hooked
One suggestion for you guys would be the feed preview: MS Live does it much better when you hover on their "more" link, and I would like to see something like that incorporated in Netvibes. Other than that, keep up the excellent work!
#76 | jaldenh | May 2nd, 2006 at 20:16
Ditto. Multiple calendars and/or the option to combine them in one view. Great work!! Thanks.
#77 | Shay | May 2nd, 2006 at 23:03
Looking really shiny, but the iCal thing still reads the text in jibberish rather than the proper Hebrew charset.
#78 | Luke | May 3rd, 2006 at 00:21
i get a "500 – Internal Server Error"
#79 | Mark Wheeler | May 3rd, 2006 at 01:11
I seem to be having some trouble with events showing at the wrong times and even on the wrong days!
Most of the time stuff seems to show correctly, but right now it’s 10mins past mid-night here and netvibes is showing my events a day late. Perhaps this is because my local time and the server time are different? These same events are also displaying an hour late.
#80 | Steve | May 3rd, 2006 at 01:22
Opera (9) support seems to be falling by the wayside. Clearing unread items via the (n) is quirky, as is the calendar.
#81 | Jordan | May 3rd, 2006 at 03:39
It would be nice if we could change the color of the actual todo list item or if we could put a due date.
#82 | LeFreak | May 3rd, 2006 at 09:33
in answer to #77, i also have a strange thing in the iCal Module :
the end hour of each and every event seems to be the only one taken into account, so for something that ends on 12h40, it says 12h40-12h40 whatever the beginning time is.
It results in events being classified by their end date only, which can also be a little trouble.
I’m using Google Calendar by the way, though i don’t know if this is relevant info.
#83 | Chad | May 3rd, 2006 at 15:01
The mark entire page read feature doesn’t seem to be working for me.
#84 | john beeler | May 3rd, 2006 at 15:40
this is great. I just signed my wife and I up. man is it handy.
would be really nice to have a complete total number of unread somewhere on the page, on that I could click on to clear _all_ unread items on all tabs.
but otherwise, just great!
#85 | Mark | May 3rd, 2006 at 16:47

Hi
I am not able to read any events in agenda.
Is it normal?
Greaaat job anyway!
Thanks
#90 | phonik | May 4th, 2006 at 09:53
WOW, your work is great, but I’ve got some issues and enhacements.
It will be nice, if there is option to hide closed (checked) tasks from "Todo List". Also set priority of task and duration with alerts – then it will be more useful for me!
Ical is still working weird. Now it shows only 3 items from calendar (i got plenty of them in calendar and set 8 to display) Ical still doesn’t display correctly Czech charset. Show local time make more sense in Calendar instead weather forecast.
It will be nice to be able use two or more separeted "bookmark" widgets. I got a few tabs, generally home & work and I want separated bookmarks in tabs.
Thanks ! Lukas

My Opera9Beta is still not working right. I dumped cookies, cache, history, visited pages, and links and still not loading right.
I’m not blaming Netvibes because it may be my Opera browser, but Opera 8.54 is acting the same. Everything was working fine up till the ‘Anise’ update when "something" happened "somewhere". It hasn’t really worked right since. There should be a new build for the Beta on Friday, I’ll see if that changes anything.
If anyone reading this is using Opera9 Beta I would really appreciate letting me know if you are having any problems or not. That may help me figure out where to look.
Just for your info I’m using an AMD Athlon 2200XP with windows XP home edition. Browsers, – Opera9 Beta (installed in it’s own directory so as not to conflict with Opera 8.54. I also have IE6 of course, but I hate to even open it up any more except for manual windows updates
Thanks to anyone who answers.

très belles fonctionnalités.
Pour le module Ical, serait-il possible d’ajouter la fonctionnalité suivante? :

#103 | pad | May 5th, 2006 at 11:20
#97 I’m using Opera9Beta (Build 8393) and everything is working fine. It even fixes the "mark all as read" problem the other Opera versions has.
It might be some install problem, because I’ve got same problem as yours in another installation of Opera in another computer.
Uppps, sorry for solving nothing

Hi pad, thanks for answering and maybe it might help me solve something. Now I know to check out Opera Beta and not worry about Netvibes being the culprit.
I’ll see what I can do with Opera this weekend and answer back.
Thanks again,
cc

Great work but it would be perfect if I could open mi gmail calendar clicking on an appointment…
#106 | Fisch2 | May 5th, 2006 at 22:07
#103: Though I may be wrong, I don’t think google’s calendars support that interactivity.
#107 | Vasco Flores | May 5th, 2006 at 23:34
Box.net has a bug handling filenames starting with a number, I allready filled a feedback about this.
Nice new features! Now I demand… let’s see… themes! I would themes very much.
#108 | John | May 6th, 2006 at 01:15
@99:
I’m thinking/guessing that the issue with the Ical date errors is Server Time related.
I’m in Australia and I find that my Calendar self corrects half way through the day.
I don’t know if it’s Ical’s or Netvibes servers as it sure ain’t Google’s where I get my data from.
It would be nice if it could be fixed.
Cheers
#109 | Genaro | May 6th, 2006 at 04:54
Same as #99, but everything in my Ical viewer is one(1) day "before" than my google calendar.
#110 | Juanjo | May 7th, 2006 at 00:24
#106 is right. My calendar also self corrects sometime in the afternoon.
#111 | alex | May 7th, 2006 at 11:05
to all guys with wrong times.. have you set the time zone of your operating system to the same you have specified in google calendar?
#112 | John | May 7th, 2006 at 12:23
@109 "Alex"
Well, the correct answer is that I set my Google Calendar time to my International Time Zone setting, which is the same as my Computer Setting.
All other calendar’s work fine. Invision Power Board, Barca2 email, Widgets from Google and Opera, not to mention Palm Desktop.
#113 | Charley Farley | May 7th, 2006 at 13:45
Wow! I’ve just "accidentally" discovered the feature that clears the unread count at the feed or "tab" level simply by clicking on the number of unread items count displayed in brackets next to the feed or tab title – SUPERB!
This simple UI option itself improves usability many-fold – thank you for implementing it!
NetVibes is undoubtably still the best "personal homepage" application on the ‘Net – congratulations and thank you!
#114 | cc | May 7th, 2006 at 14:14
Hi Pad, again. If you’re reading this, it seems I have the same thing as your other computer. I did a clean install of 8393 in its own directory and although the feeds are responding a bit better in Netvibes my Google calendar will show but can’t update it at all, and Ical doesn’t work at all.
I opened IE6 just to check and Ical works fine.
So, back to build 8367 because of all the sites I visit it works the best.
Will check back after updates of Opera and Netvibes. I imagine everything will come together sooner or later.
The joys of Beta!
#115 | Javier | May 7th, 2006 at 17:26
When some event repeats in gcal, I only have the first instance of them in netvibes. It seems to happen with daily repeats and not to happen with weekly repeats.
#116 | hongjun | May 7th, 2006 at 18:19
Erm.. But then there seems to have a bug for Google Calendar.
I have an event on 8th May and 14th May on Google Calendar. But then it shows 9th and 15th respectively on Netvibes iCal.
BTW, my time setting for Google Calendar is +08:00 Kuala Lumpur / Singapore. Could that be a reason?
I see this as a bug.
#117 | Alan | May 8th, 2006 at 18:25
Great new improvements. Way to go guys!
#118 | alex | May 8th, 2006 at 20:08

however ths is GREAT feature.
thx
#120 | Fisch2 | May 8th, 2006 at 23:32
@116: the dates for my google calendar events seem to be correct now, but the times are still incorrect (and yes, I set the time zone both in google calendar’s preferences and on my computer).
#121 | John | May 9th, 2006 at 00:33
@ Alex ( 116)
Thanks mate…. Ical is looking good from Australia.(GMT+10 Brisbane) Appreciated.
#122 | Woody | May 9th, 2006 at 00:56
All of my Gcalendar times continue to be 4 hours earlier than they should be. I also have a 30Boxes Ical module and the times are right on that one. This makes it look specific to Gcal.
#123 | Fabrice | May 9th, 2006 at 08:36
Bonjour,
J’essai sans suucès d’importer mon calendrier Google. Y’aurait-il un mode d’emploi un peu détaillé et en Français ?
Merci
Fabrice
#124 | Cyril | May 9th, 2006 at 10:34
@121 :
Voici comment faire : tu vas dans "Settings" ->"Calendar Details".
Tu cliques sur le boutons vert ("Private address")
Tu copies colles ce lien dans le module.
et ça doit marcher.
#125 | Amnesia | May 9th, 2006 at 12:14
Thanks for the magnificent work! I couldn’t do without Netvibes now. I have another little bug in the iCal module using Google calendar which I haven’t seen brought up before. None of my all-day events are showing, otherwise everything else is perfect. Does anyone else have this, or have sorted it out? Could it be a Google calendar issue and not Netvibes?
Many thanks again for all your hard work.

i seem to have a problem: the "Don’t preload" option is not checked, but it acts as if it is (i.e tabs (content only loads in focused tab).
any idea what’s going on?
#128 | Nico | May 9th, 2006 at 21:38
I experience a strange thing with the Ical Module (using Google Calendar): I have one event at 19 and one at 21 on the same day in the Google Calendar. The one at 19 appears right, but the one at 21 appears at 23 in Netvibes !
By the way a suggestion: would it be possible to support the "<br>" markers in the description field in order to make it even better ?
Keep it up !
#129 | Woody | May 10th, 2006 at 17:34
So far, I’ve not been able to find a way to get Google Calendar to display the correct event times. I wonder how many other people are having this problem. Is it time zone related? I’m in the US in the Eastern Standard Time Zone.
#130 | Carlo | May 10th, 2006 at 18:53
You guys rock, nuff said!
Loving the Tab feature a lot.. keep up the good work and Thanks very very much for Netvibes!
#131 | Cyril | May 10th, 2006 at 19:52

There is still bugs: some folder doesn’t open when i click on it.
#132 | Victhor | May 10th, 2006 at 20:37
First: congratulation for your admirable work !!!
Then will you add a module to connect with the google calendar?
#133 | Fisch2 | May 10th, 2006 at 23:06
@130
The iCal module already does this! Check out http://www.google.com/support/ca...
to see how to import your google calendar’s URL so that you can copy & paste it into the URL that the iCal module asks for.
#134 | wolis | May 11th, 2006 at 08:55
Suggestions: can the Google Calendar be configured to show more than just one calendar?
I make extensive use of multiple calendars jet can only see one (my default) in the (wonderful) NetVibes.
PS Keep on the great work – NetVibes is a wonderful thing! .. and drop into my Creative Object World (cow) some day wolispace.com/cow – thanks to you guys I have made it RSSable:
Here is the Daily Cow: feeds.feedburner.com/woli…

Has anyone figured out how to get he correct times to work? Mine is always a day off. Time zones are correct.
#136 | alex | May 11th, 2006 at 21:32
Guys, please use the feedback form to report errors such as times being a day off. Please include an iCal feed url (e.g. create a sample one which shows the problem and you can bear sending to us) as well as your timezone. Also make sure that the time zone of your operating system is set correctly.
#137 | Genaro | May 12th, 2006 at 02:54
I have a "single" event: 9th of May at 8pm. When I put it in my Google Calendar, everything is OK. When I update my Netvibes Ical, everything is OK.
Now, when I put this event with "weekly repeats", I get everything Ok in Google Calendar, but when I update Netvibes Ical I get (in Netvibes): all the events at 8th of May at 4pm.
I use GMT -4:00 in my Linux box (Ubuntu). I configured Google Calendar with time format 1pm and date format 31/12/2005 and Nevtvibes Ical with time format 12 H and date format DD/MM/YYYY.
[Sorry by my english]

Good work, keep European.

could you modify the calendar module to have a click able link to my calendar, let’s say Google? One generic link to the calendar start page, and links to the specified events.
Thanks,

I didn’t find a bookmarklet for Netvibes so I created one. the address you have to add in your link bar is:
javascript:location.href=’http://www.netvibes.com/subscrib...
then, simply open the feed page and click on the link. I think someone can find this useful!

How about a forum ? And also a regular post with news about Netvibes development, just to keep us excited
Netvibes is so cool that we need to know more
(and this blog comment thing is unreadable)
#147 | hongjun | May 17th, 2006 at 18:17
@114 problem is still not solved
I have got 1 full day event on 21st Apr but then it shows 22nd.
I am GMT +08:00 (Singapore)
#148 | Mike | May 17th, 2006 at 19:14
for #146, Well, I’m a Netvibes user currently, but frustrated with the lack of functionality. Netvibes has a smoother interface, but it needs so much more in terms of modules. Not to mention that I’ve asked admin about three questions to have them never answered. Frustrating.
#149 | Fisch2 | May 17th, 2006 at 20:54
@148: Did you ask the admins questions on here or did you use the feedback form on your homepage (which is what you’re supposed to do for questions, suggestions, bug reports, etc)?
Every time I’ve provided the Netvibes admins feedback via the appropriate channel, I’ve received a response in less than an hour.
#150 | Toby | May 20th, 2006 at 06:28
Are others still having this problem with their ical not showing up? (see #46). I set up the viewer with google’s calendar and it worked fine, then just stopped. Same problem when I use 30boxes. I submitted the info using the feedback form but haven’t heard a response or seen a fix yet.
#151 | Toby | May 20th, 2006 at 06:31
Go figure…I just tried again and the 30boxes ical works. Google calendar is still not working though.
#152 | Cyril | May 20th, 2006 at 08:40
Same problem for the Google calendar in my page
#153 | hongjun | May 20th, 2006 at 16:12
OK.. iCal for google is up again.
Bug for timezone seems to be partially solved.
But then I see this problem now.
In Google Calendar, I have got this event
21 May 12:00pm – 1:00pm
But in iCal, I see this
21 May 12:00am – 1:00pm
Notice the time problem?
#154 | hongjun | May 20th, 2006 at 16:15
@156
No problem with time only if I choose 24HR time format.

#159 | tubby17 | May 22nd, 2006 at 21:11
@156-157: See my bug report from May 2nd. I think this may be a simple misunderstanding by developers on the use of AM and PM on the 12H clock (i don’t blame them; it’s certainly not intuitive and Europeans mostly use the 24H clock, right?). It’d be nice to see a fix, though.
#160 | John | May 23rd, 2006 at 09:36
Hello netvibes team !
It’s gonna be a month since your last post. How are things going, is there anything new coming soon ?
Tell us more we can’t wait

Your project is great. Nice to have the OPML export option.
It would be nice to have a logo to promote you, you deserve it.
I would put it on my blog as soon as it is available.
#162 | alex | May 23rd, 2006 at 11:56

#164 | xioustic | May 24th, 2006 at 08:07
Google Calendar events still not appearing properly on the calendar module: Events are appearing a day earlier than usual for me. The times also appear messed up sometimes (I’ll see an event for the PM ordered first over the events in the AM).
I love the idea, but if it worked it would be more practical than aesthetic.
#165 | Cyril | May 24th, 2006 at 13:48
@167 : How are you doing. For me the Google Calendar is good for all my events ! The pb is in your fingers perhaps ! lol Try to delete the module, create a new calendar in google. After that, don’t create any event. Just create the calendar module in Netvibes and point it to Google calendar. After that creat one event and refresh the Ical Module in netvibes. If it is ok, create an other event for the afternoon and refresh…..
Is all ok ? if there are any pbs send a feedback to the team. It is the only solution to help them debuging.
Good luck !
#166 | Sandro | May 24th, 2006 at 16:03
I still have 6200 unread Gmail items… Seems this doesn’t work for the Gmail unread items count. All other feeds on this tab have no more unread items but gmail.

I find rememberthemilk.com is better to use for ToDo’s and just use the Atom feed as normal rss.
More options with this one.
#168 | Luke | May 25th, 2006 at 17:58
is there any chance you guys are working on a calendar module in which you can view multiple gmail calendars?
that would be nice. now i have to use different ical modules for my ‘work’ and ‘personal’ appointments.
#169 | Eric | May 27th, 2006 at 17:41
J’aimerais bien trouver directement les icônes "marquer tous lus" / "marquer tous non lus" depuis le module de flux lui-même. Car si on active l’option "ouvrir directement sur le site" alors plus moyen de marquer les fils comme "tous lus" par exemple.

Hi every one, some really interesting things are coming on the way !
Just a note about our blog comment policy. I know some of your competitor are very agressive in posting in every comment section discussing about netvibes. I found it unethical, but we don’t comment back as this take place in other poeple blogs. On Netvibes blog, i believe we should talk about netvibes so I’ll moderate it in that way. Just to let you know.
#171 | Tariq KRIM | May 27th, 2006 at 21:06
One other thing, support is getting improved, but to optimize it, we really need you to use the feedbackform and to try to give us the most details, we received thousands of mails and if we were answering every thing we would spend our whole days ! Much improvement is coming in the comings weeks, we hope you will enjoy them !
#172 | shanar | May 31st, 2006 at 11:06
Salut,
A bientôt

Hi guys.
I also have some problems with my ICal module since the 31th of may Netvibes upgrade. Seems to be linked with june. It still shows may events like if we are in may.
Waiting for your check then update.
Thank you, Netvibes is really great.
Regards.
#175 | eskey | June 1st, 2006 at 22:46
Hi,
– I remember it used to be that way some time ago, then it was improved, now is broken again.
I’ve noticed yesterday, that iCal module date formating does not react on format change. No matter what I choose (YYYY/MM/DD or DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY) it shows long format like "Thu, 06/01 09:00", which I don’t like at all
The similar issue (so working like at the beginning and not like improved) is with "all day" events from 30boxes. ICal module does not show event details, only date and empty field. Couple of days before it worked fine.
Do you have any idea what is the problem (I use Firefox, EN, 1.5.0.3).
I could say only good words about netvibes
#176 | Hitty | June 4th, 2006 at 21:36
For #99, I have same problem for iCal and Google calendar.
Google calendar set at GMT-8 (West Coast USA), but if I enter an event at 4:30pm to 5:30pm on Monday, the 4:30pm-5pm appears under Monday, 5pm-5:30pm appear under Tuesday. So the single event is broken into 2 events on different days.
#177 | RENE' | June 5th, 2006 at 19:34

#178 | tuku | June 10th, 2006 at 13:57
problem with google-calendar integration:

Indeed, compact binary format will be an awesome addition to the excellent XStream package. Default Java serialization has its problems and there is the need for fast, memory efficient and compact binary serialization. BTW, I am sure you have looked at Hessian and Burlap (from the makers of the Resin app. server)
