Twitter just launched its new Twitter Analytics service that allows users to track a variety of metrics, including how many people see your tweets.
We have exciting news for Netvibes Premium users: you can easily import your Twitter Analytics data directly into your dashboard using MisoData, just as you would with any external dataset. MisoData enables you to drag-and-compare anything on your dashboard, so you can deeply analyze all your Twitter metrics. Create custom graphs, compare Twitter data to your sales numbers, or compare your Twitter presence with Facebook. With MisoData, the power of the data is in your hands.
Here’s how to import Twitter Analytics into your dashboard:
Following our recent updates to MisoData and app design, it’s now time for the Search & Compare apps to get their shiny upgrade.
As always, the Search & Compare apps allow you to search for people and brands on Twitter and for pages on Facebook to monitor their social activity over time.
You can then easily drag-and-compare each app to create a new competitive analysis chart showing all the data. It’s so easy that it even works with MisoData apps so you can compare social media data with your own internal data. For example, analyze the relationship between your sales numbers and Facebook likes, or see how Twitter mentions correlate with your website traffic.
Now upgraded, the Search & Compare apps provide you even more flexibility and a deeper understanding of what you see:
Monitoring is great and nobody does it better than Netvibes. But what’s even better is being able to share your curated items easily, on any service, from any device.
Sharing with Netvibes is super easy, especially since we revamped our sharing feature last June. Here are a few quick examples on how you can share content & knowledge with Netvibes.
Last year, we released our Facebook Search & Compare app for Netvibes Premium which allowed you, as the name aptly suggests, to compare different Facebook fan pages over time. Today we’re happy to introduce our brand new Twitter Search & Compare app which will allow you to do the same with search trends on Twitter, for a more comprehensive social media coverage.
Many companies need multiple Twitter & Facebook handles for different product lines and countries. And social managers need to be able to monitor their social media in different ways. One view doesn’t tell you the whole story.
With our new Twitter Search & Compare App, you’ll be able to:
- monitor & compare followers, following and tweets
- include them in your analytics
- track all of them side-by-side
- compare them with other data (using our “drag & compare” feature)
We’ve also updated our Facebook Search & Compare app to include the “talk about” metric, which allow you to better track and compare Fan Pages and their followers.
Whether it’s on Facebook or Twitter, just search for the keywords, Fan Pages or Twitter users you want to track. Then add them to compare them with others. It’s that easy!
Want to go beyond monitoring? With Netvibes Premium, you can use our adaptive social analytics tools to spot real-time trends, uncover key influencers, and understand public sentiment and keyword clouds on Facebook, Twitter, forums, blogs and the entire Web. If you want to discover how powerful Netvibes Premium is for monitoring your brand, including social media, take a look at our demonstration video here.

Whether you’re a multinational brand or a small startup, tracking your social presence is a round the clock job. How can you keep track of your brand, product or competitors’ social presence across multiple social platforms?
Fortunately, Netvibes offers the best tools to easily keep track on everything that’s happening out there on the social web. Today, we’ll show you how to quickly setup your dashboard to manage and post to your social media accounts–and monitor what’s being said publicly on Twitter, Facebook and Forums.
Let’s look at our top 3 Social Monitoring apps and how to use them:
As we explained in a previous post (Important Update: Twitter 1.1 API and your Netvibes account), the new Twitter API introduces changes and new limitations to the way our Social Search App interacts with the service.
The good news is that we have already taken the initiative to update our Social Search App (and all our Social Analytics) so that it will automatically be upgraded for a smooth transition.
However the new API requires that from today on, you link your Netvibes and Twitter accounts if you want to be able to search (Basic & Premium) and gather data on Twitter (Premium). Click here to do this now, for a seamless transition.
IF YOU’RE USING THE TWITTER APP ON YOUR NETVIBES BASIC DASHBOARD, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY.
Starting Monday, May 6, due to Twitter’s new API policy, you’ll need to have a Twitter account linked to Netvibes Basic to continue using Twitter apps and searches from your dashboard. Twitter will require user authentication and rate-limiting, which means not just Netvibes, but all 3rd party Twitter services, will be affected.
The good news is Netvibes will update all our social apps to work seamlessly with the new Twitter API. Next Monday, we are going to roll out a product upgrade.
In the meantime, old Twitter API keys have been revoked today in preparation for this update. This will result in all Twitter apps displaying an “unknown error” message, which means you’re going to have to re-install your current Twitter app (from the Add Content / Essentials menu) to make sure it works flawlessly with the new API. This will not affect any Social Search app you’re currently using, no data will be lost.
In summary: if you’re a Netvibes Basic user, re-install your Twitter app today to avoid any issues with the new API on Monday.
As part of our ongoing evolution, and after giving it a lot of thought, we’ve decided to formally close Netvibes’ internal social network. Instead, we’re constantly opening our doors to allow you to integrate all the best social services for both consumers and Enterprise users–from Facebook to Yammer–all on Netvibes.
Here are just a few examples of some of our built-in social apps:
- Facebook – There are 3 ways to manage Facebook: Facebook Profile (manage your personal profile), Social Search (see what people are saying) and Facebook Search & Compare (track & compare Fan pages – for Premium Users only).
- Twitter – Post to your account with our Twitter app or use Social Search to follow new trends and influencers.
- Social Search – Use our 3-in-1 Social Search app to search Facebook, Twitter and BoardReader message boards all at once. Then, simply drag-and-follow hashtags or users to create new apps to track topics and influencers as you discover them.
