Sneak peak at Netvibes on iPad

Today, the highly anticipated Apple iPad goes on sale across Europe, Japan and Australia.

I’m happy to share with you a screenshot of our upcoming Netvibes on iPad. As you can see it below, it’s a web site designed and optimized for this device which will bring you all the features you already love on your computer today, like the smartreader view with list, expanded and mosaic layouts, read/unread status and all your favorite widgets at your fingertips.

And it’s coming up! The first beta of Netvibes on iPad should be open as early as next week!

Of course we are also working on updating the existing Wap and iPhone versions and bringing you an Android one.

@2 It’s because it’s still plugged on the dev servers which don’t have the feeds database 😉

Awesome, an IPAD version. Are you ever going to fix the damned feed refresh problem that you created with Wasabi?

  11. #11 | elkabyle | May 31st, 2010 at 2:58 am   Reply

Will it be a self-contained app, or an app that opens a link to a reformatted website, as in the current iphone version?

  12. #12 | Franck Mahon | May 31st, 2010 at 10:52 am   Reply

@MYOFB: Most of those problems should be fixed. If it’s not the case can you contact the support with the feeds urls?

@elkabyle As stated in the post, it’s not an app but a dedicated website version

Well, I am quite interest in your domain. If I set up one website using this domain, I can earn 100-200 USD daily. Your domain is really good. If you don’t want to sell this domain, I can cooperate with you on the condition that you share 50% revenue with me. 😛

Apple never just make gismos; they engineer solutions that people can see fitting into their daily lives eventually. As a university pupil with a hectic life, I reckon this being a very handy thing to get.

I really love the possibility, like the website version, to personalize the layout and the views.

Therefor i hope you will also implement this in the app, giving the total look of a real personalized newspaper.

I know the webversion is also useable on the iPad, but in the real app this would be awesome!!
