Put widgets on Windows Vista, Apple Dashboard, Opera, and iGoogle

Last month, I showed you how to put a widget on your blog. Today, I will show how you can put a feed widget on your Vista desktop, your Apple Dashboard, your Opera browser or your iGoogle page.

First, click on the “Share” link of the feed you want to put outside Netvibes.

Then go to the tab “Install outside Netvibes”. You will see all the available platforms. Simply click the button corresponding to your platform and the download starts.

Once downloaded, install the widget and you’re done!

For the moment, this option is only available for feed widgets but we are working to extend this option to all UWA widgets.

This is pretty cool! It would be even better if you could use a <security> element in the config.xml of Opera Widgets, that would make it compatible with the Vodafone Widget Runtime (See link for details). Great stuff!

This is very nice but I have encountered some issues with using it in the Vista sidebar.

After an RSS feed gadget is added to the sidebar, it doesn’t work unless you then manually fill in the feed name in the sidebar gadget. It appears that the gadge

Once that’s done, the feed only displays if you click either the icon in the gadget, or any place that doesn’t have text. If you do that then feed displays. It wasn’t immediately obvious that something *other* than the RSS title needed to be clicked.

However more troublesome is that if I click a link in the gadget’s displayed feed list, the gadget launches the feed item in Internet Explorer rather than Firefox (Firefox is set to be my default browser). This limits the usefulness of the RSS feed.

One last thing. I also tried this in Opera 9.5 and was unable to get it to work as an Opera module. Upon clicking the Opera button in the share tab, I get webpage from that says an error occurred.

Today there is no shortage of advertisements on the internet from companies claiming to have a revolutionary product that will give you a –everything from to penis patches and pumps, weights and extender devices. But do any of them really work? We wanted to find out so we took the leading brands of enlargement pills and put them to the test. It was no surprise that every pill was not the same, and results were varied quite a bit.
We will tell you about 2 brands of : [url= ,[url= . These pills gained good reputation, and the manufacturers of these pills, as well as vendors, passed several certification and conformance tests, by governmental structures to reveal ineffective or dangerous products.
