Great news. Safari support coming soon?

  3. #3 | johnni | December 13th, 2005 at 12:52 am

so where are the other features requested for in the wiki does anybody read them??

  4. #4 | johnni | December 13th, 2005 at 12:57 am

    1. search through your bookmarks
    2. disable the too simple removal of links/feeds etcetera.
3.the ability to export bookmarks not only importing them
    4′ a “refresh all

    > 6. gmail updating in one minute instead of 20 minutes!!
I agree it should be configurable, but you’ll be more productive if you crank it down to 60 minutes.

How about integration with ta-da list or calendarhub?
Even better, support Microsoft Widgets or Yahoo Widget Engine (formerly konfabulator)

  6. #6 | Max | December 13th, 2005 at 6:57 am

Thanks, I switched to Opera and I’ve been missing Netvibes, keep up the good work.

  7. #7 | Eric | December 13th, 2005 at 10:36 am

Please, please, please support Konqueror now !
It shouldn’t be such pain when you support Safari, since Safari is based on KHTML, Konqueror’s HTML engine…

  8. #8 | Minus | December 13th, 2005 at 10:57 am

Really thanks your for opera support !
    Work great for me 🙂

Waiting now for a Calendar / Schedule for Birthday and Meeting 😉

I’m using netvibes.com for reading some Persian feeds, which need to be shown from right to left (rtl).
Can you please add an option for choosing direction of text. Google personalized page automatically displays my right to left feeds correctly.

  10. #10 | Francesco | December 13th, 2005 at 4:46 pm

  15. #15 | Raffi | December 14th, 2005 at 5:35 pm

Awsome work, I officially have no reason to even have Firefox installed on my computer anymore. Keep up the great work!

  16. #16 | Amar0k | December 14th, 2005 at 10:58 pm

uh oh… the big guys are making progress slashdot.org/articles/05/… 😉

though i’m still keeping my netvibes home… for now.

  17. #17 | Marcus Danillo | December 14th, 2005 at 11:14 pm

The version for Opera is not recording the selected language, coming back toward the English to each time that browser is restarted.

By the way, the translation for Portuguese (BR) had some errors of typewriting corrected in wiki, but they had still not been brought up to date. Please update.

PS: Sorry for my bad english.

  18. #18 | Ryan | December 15th, 2005 at 12:15 am

Just switched to this for my homepage. Thanks for supporting Opera. (Don’t forget about the other browsers too!!!)

  19. #19 | Ryan | December 15th, 2005 at 12:35 am

Oh, and if you haven’t heard the rumor, go to blog.searchenginewatch.co… . In short, former Yahoo! Europe president hears from "well informed" sources Google will try to buy Opera.

  20. #20 | Stijn | December 15th, 2005 at 3:22 pm

like johnni said, Dutch language support would be great. I’ll check the wiki translation this week.

  21. #21 | rustitof | December 15th, 2005 at 8:53 pm

I don’t get many save buttons to work in Opera 9 Tech Preview 1, for example the one for the weather pane.

    Otherwise it’s looking great. 🙂
Thanks for thinking of us, hehe.

  24. #24 | Jugalator | December 17th, 2005 at 3:29 am

Just an extra note on my former post.. It MAY be the case there’s a regression bug in the Opera 9 preview as it’s not release quality software. I may just go back to 8.51 for now, actually.

  25. #25 | Steve | December 17th, 2005 at 8:00 pm

Anyone else not able to get pass "Loading…"?

  26. #26 | Daniel | December 18th, 2005 at 2:35 pm

I was trying to use Opera 9 and got same problem as Steve. Just Loading… text and can’t pass through.

  27. #27 | Jugalator | December 19th, 2005 at 11:21 am

Have you tried to clear your cache? Just a guess though.

Anyway, I’m now getting the same as #22 above, and also with the Flickr thing. When clicking "Edit", the page instead reloads. 🙁 Using Opera 8.51

  28. #28 | r3 | December 19th, 2005 at 3:58 pm

Thanks, works a treat. Opera 9? Wow, I´ll have a look. 8.51 is great (slowish to load but faster than gmail).

  29. #29 | cdub | December 19th, 2005 at 11:30 pm

does anyone have a problem with opera and the flickr tool?. i cannot get it to read the proper flickr feed.

  30. #30 | linux juggler | December 20th, 2005 at 7:36 am

  32. #32 | Andrei | December 21st, 2005 at 7:38 am

W00t, this is awsome. Netvibes is freeking cool in my book.

I can’t wait for full del.icio.us interaction, and multiple gmail login (the right way).

  33. #33 | Daniel | December 21st, 2005 at 4:59 pm

Hope that won’t be any multiple gmail login. This is useless for big amount of ppl.

  34. #34 | qufkr@blog | December 21st, 2005 at 5:32 pm

does anybody know how to change user password of netvibes account? what should i do if i want to change my password?

  35. #35 | Andrei | December 21st, 2005 at 11:39 pm

Daniel, it’s only useless for those who use a single gmail account. I have a public gmail account (andreizilla.pub@gmail.com) that I use to post in blogs and good stuff like that. I use my hotmail account for things I know I’ll get spam from.

  36. #36 | Daniel | December 21st, 2005 at 11:52 pm

Ah sry, you thought several different mails, i know imagined several gmails. Few ppl has it, but not every mail has so easily parsing as gmail.

  37. #37 | knoodrake | December 22nd, 2005 at 2:46 am

    Très très bonne nouvelle 🙂
Netvibes est ma nouvelle page de démarage depuis que je le connais ( 1 mois ) , et je ne le quite plus !

    Bravo et Merci !

  38. #38 | lennsch | December 22nd, 2005 at 12:37 pm

Netvibes is great, but with Opera it’s much better!

  39. #39 | Just Me | December 22nd, 2005 at 3:18 pm

Off-topic! How do I donate to Netvibes? I use it several times a day and want to do my part to ensure the continued success.

  40. #40 | Spamkilla | December 28th, 2005 at 3:00 pm

someone has to start monitoring these comments so they stop getting spammed like this

  41. #41 | AnA-l | December 29th, 2005 at 6:30 pm

    rofl @ spam…

  42. #42 | lvjiyong | December 30th, 2005 at 1:45 am

    so good!

  43. #43 | User | December 30th, 2005 at 1:49 am

Hey look thier is a to-do module now..

  44. #44 | bryan | December 30th, 2005 at 4:53 am

wow when did the to-do list show up?? i’ve been waiting for this! very simple and useful. protopage is way overrated. netvibes is much better IMHO.

    thanks!

  45. #45 | User | December 30th, 2005 at 7:08 am

How sad is it that someone finds Netvibes comments important enough to spam with their crap.

  46. #46 | fred point | December 30th, 2005 at 3:27 pm

My father have Safari (based on konqueror) and unfortenatly the demo didn’t work 😉

I hope the support for both (Safari, konqueror) will come soon. Google’s personalized home work already on both and it’s rely on the same technos.

    Nice work, it’s a nice start !

  47. #47 | Abdul Aziz | January 3rd, 2006 at 8:42 pm

I am sing Opera 9 Beta 2 (Mac OXS 10.4.6 Intel). Netvibes modules remain stuck at "loading". Netvibes is unusable on Opera 9. It used to work with opera 8.5 on the same system.
