New Ecosystem : a better widget directory for Netvibes


We are happy to announce the release of the new Ecosystem, the netvibes widget directory.


What’s new ?

Better content. We partnered with world’s Leading Web sites, Developers and Widget Platforms including: NYTimes.com, CBS Interactive, CNET Asia, Vimeo (IAC), Slide, Clearspring, Widgetbox, RockYou, Miniclip, yourminis, LabPixies and NewsGator.

Premium Widgets, smarter widgets. We introduce a new kind of widgets: Premium Widgets, several tabs, choice of tabs content, a widget that brings the best of a website to a netvibes widget.

A fresh design, a better navigation. Finding widgets has never been easier on Netvibes, you can now browse and filter widgets by categories, try our new search and see live preview on widget’s details page.

See what’s popular and star what you like. You can see what are the most popular widgets and rate the widgets you like or not.

Create a widget in 60 secondes. Do you have a feed, a podcast, a flash game or a mini application ? Click on “Submit new content” and your widget will be created and added to Ecosystem.

Control your widgets. Click on “My widgets” to see all your widgets and get stats, comments and starring.

Give a try to the brand new Ecosystem and make your Netvibes experience better with new widgets and Netvibes Universes browsing.

    Hi,
    good work, but it seems that your search function is not already at its best(compared to a Google one…)
    If you search LE FIGARO, first result is MTV.IT ??!!

    Very few of the new partner widgets work in Apple dashboard — is this a known issue?

    after this change i am missing most of the widgets on all my pages… is this a bug or a feature?

    How long after submitting a widget does the widget appear in the directory? It’s not getting reflected even if I search by the tags I have assigned to the widget.

    Hi,

    since yesterday my netvibes lost ~50% of the feeds. Is there a technical problem and are my feeds "coming back"?

    Content on public pages in personal universes available for google indexing (like in pageflakes) or not available (like protopage)?

    Indexing are very important.

    The UWA widgets are supported on the Iphone, but it’s a particular platform and for example there is some issues with iframes and Flash is not supported.

    UWA widgets are rendered through an iframe (like in Netvibes) but the ugly scrollbars that you can see on your regular browser will be nicely handled automatically by the Iphone browser.

    You can’t edit preferences yet (it’s read only).
