Netvibes welcome Safari Users !

Yes, this one was a big time feature and it’s now available : Netvibes on Safari.

Netvibes works now on opera 9.0 beta, opera 8, Firefox and Internet Explorer. This is a major update for us. A lot of new features are available on this new release and we will come over them with you all over the week. Please let us know the bugs you could have and don’t forget to send us the browser version, the system, the error message and eventually a screen copy.

enjoy !

You say that "A lot of new features are available on this new version". Is this a separate ‘version’ from what IE or Firefox users get?

  7. #7 | Chad | February 8th, 2006 at 14:43

Thanks! I’ve been waiting for this for quite some time. I can’t wait to see what other features you have in store.

  8. #8 | Tariq KRIM | February 8th, 2006 at 15:18

  12. #12 | Hawthorne | February 8th, 2006 at 17:52

Yes! I will name my first child after you!

Wait, now, I’ve already got one.

Okay, my second child will be named in your honour!

No, that’s not right, I have two boys.

Okay, the middle name of our next cat will be "Vibes", in your memory. How about that? :-)

  13. #13 | muxxxa | February 8th, 2006 at 18:47

    It works in Flock, too.
By the way: Thank you very much for the great job you’re doing!

  14. #14 | Thesa | February 8th, 2006 at 19:15

With Opera 9.0 there a little bug when you click red number next to the rss feed title : it sets "all read" correctly but then allow you to drag the box. I have to click once again to drop the box at the same place.

  16. #16 | David Wynot | February 8th, 2006 at 23:02

Super sur Safari…je patientais sur Firefox…
Un peu lent au clic, il a fallu que je lui désigne un autre onglet pour que cette info s’ouvre (Macmini et Tiger)

  17. #17 | David Wynot | February 8th, 2006 at 23:05

  18. #18 | Eric P. | February 9th, 2006 at 00:39

Same remark as Thesa: it doesn’t work with Konqueror :-(
I’m sure it’s a small problem, if you need help to investigate, I’m available! (and I speak French)

  19. #19 | tenthumbs | February 9th, 2006 at 07:25

Safari crashes for me every time i try to set a weather location. I reproduced it 3 times, and these were my first crashes with
    Safari in 2006.

    Netvibes for Safari

Updating, again, an older post, it looks like my favorite drag-and-droppy browser home page Netvibes is now available for Safari users……

  28. #28 | Norailyain | February 9th, 2006 at 23:15

Sorry to tell that on Mac OS 10.2′s Safari, a few bugs still need to be fixed …
It has currently been impossible to log on a Yahoo mail account, neither could I access to Yahoo Insolite feed :-(

But forget about that, you guys are doing a great job … and congratulations to the one who’s joining Matamore Software ! ;-)

  29. #29 | Sebastian | February 10th, 2006 at 01:14

Cool.. what would be next ?
I can’t wait until multiple pages will be done.

    good luck guys !

  30. #30 | trovster | February 10th, 2006 at 10:38

Nicolas, I can’t get my Flickr module to work either. Annoying as it was working.

  31. #31 | mac user | February 10th, 2006 at 12:17

Well done! This is a huge feature for me. I didn´t use Safari as my main browser because of Netvibes! Now I can ;)

  32. #32 | mac user | February 10th, 2006 at 12:31

Well, I have an habbit of talking too much ;) . There´s a "little" problem with Safari. When I click in a tab, it just simply closes Safari. I´m sure you can solve this problem. Cheers.

  33. #33 | drace | February 10th, 2006 at 13:24

still not working well on opera :(
    same problem as PM

  34. #34 | Damdam | February 13th, 2006 at 17:58

  35. #35 | Ryan | February 13th, 2006 at 20:05

Hrm, no functionality in Konqueror even though Safari is based on Konqueror’s khtml.
    :(

  36. #36 | Mathias | February 14th, 2006 at 16:42

since this modification, my opera 8.5 crach before the page is completly downloaded…
    arrghh….

  37. #37 | Brian O'Neill | February 15th, 2006 at 16:05

Netvibes is not compatible with the new beta of IE7.

  38. #38 | Jeff Staple | February 16th, 2006 at 19:00

Nice to see that you’re compatible with all the major browsers. I use Firefox on my computer, but with the announcement of the NDS web browser yesterday, it’s good to see that others are supported. Hopefully the two versions will be similar (I can’t live without me Netvibes) ^_^

  39. #39 | Silas | February 18th, 2006 at 12:08

I’d like to use Netvibes in Konqueror, too. It’s already my homepage at home and at work where I use Firefox but I can’t use it on my notebook where I prefer Konqueror…

  40. #40 | david c. | February 20th, 2006 at 04:30

Yay. I’ve been waiting for Safari support!

  41. #41 | Warren | February 28th, 2006 at 07:13

I find that netvibes crashes safari everytime I try to open the page. I am using tiger, with the most up to date version of Safari. Sadly I still have to use firefox for netvibes

  42. #42 | prosume | March 8th, 2006 at 02:22

thank you! I am using netvibes fulltime now :)

  43. #43 | Jeff Caylor | March 9th, 2006 at 21:07

Hey! You just reminded my why I switched to Firefox all those months ago. It was so I could use Netvibes at home! Now I can go back. Maybe.

    Thanks!

  44. #44 | cc | March 23rd, 2006 at 02:42

Well done guys. I’ve been using netvibes with Opera9-2Beta for a couple of weeks now. It’s great. Unlike windows live.crap, netvibes modules all work all the time. Keep up the good work

  48. #48 | BigNetvibeFan | April 4th, 2006 at 20:50

Netvibes crashes Opera 8.52 for Mac OS X Tiger (Intel) almost 50% of the time. It occasionally crashes Safari also, but I don’t know how often because I rarely use Safari. It only crashes while loading the site. Once the page is rendered, it never crashes again. Only on load.

  49. #49 | cnwb | May 10th, 2006 at 05:51
