Netvibes new features : step 1 the upgrade

We are about to upgrade Netvibes with new features so expect it to be down for a few minutes. We will come back right after with some more details on the new features with you.

    I had been playing around with Live.com and Google personalized for a few months now… I read about netvibes over and over, but never checked it out. Well, I finally tried it a few days ago, and I’m hooked!!! This is by far the BEST personalized page!!! The only thing missing for me is the stock quotes, but I see that it’s in the works. Thanks!!

    sinon je pense comme d’autres qu’on ne peut pas forcer quelqu’un qui ne parle pas anglais (ou n’a pas envie) à s’exprimer dans cette langue, qu’elle soit internationale ou pas n’y change strictement rien.

    Even though it was sudden, I’m impressed. Only down for a "few minutes", usually sites go down for hours while they work on new features or maintenance.

    What I’ve read so far is of the utmost stupidness… This "blog" uses english to reach its users ‘cuz the number of english users seems to be the most important.

    Though, why can’t english speaking people bear with people speaking their langage ? ( e.g: the french )

    It’s neither as if anything important had been said, nor as if we were making fun of the english speaking community in general.

    I mean, we’re not supposed to live in hapiness ever after, but just because people are using different langages, they seem to be ready to throw grenades at each others.

    Must we come to the point where they’d have to separate communities based on their langages ?

    Isn’t it simpler to just browse comments based on what you can understand and ignore or translate ( google, babelfish… ) what you can’t ?

    Netvibes has been created by french people, why wouldn’t they have the right to speak whatever langage pleases them ? ( especially if they can’t use or don’t want to use english )

    I agree with what been said earlier, why not use Esperanto ? ^^

    Anyway, I invite you all to settle this around a chilled beer… or a good glass of wine here ^^;

    Well I think all the languages should be admitted, why not also my very own mothertongue (German), mais après tout on va s’entendre en français, anglais, allemand, espagnol et (warum eigentlich nicht?) latin. So the mixture of all these languages can be funny. International does not necessaryly mean english.

    for people who have problems with loading tabs
    pour les gens qui ont des problèmes avec le chargement des onglets

    i find a solution
    j’ai trouve une solution

    eliminate cookies and password from your navigator and ressign in netvibes
    eliminez les cookies et mots de passes enregistrees dans le navigateur et re rentrez dans netvibes

    and all is perfect again !
    et tout revient dans l’ordre !

    Couldn’t get on Netvibes earlier but just logged in.
    WoW, what can I say? Good work Netvibes team, this is great. Only had a quick look around, will check it out in depth tonite.
    All you need now is an Email program and we could just stay on Netvibes ALL the time.
    Thanks for all your hard work, it is appreciated when a person can find all this content set up and presented so well on one site

    I just notice that my calendar module (plugged on an google calendar module) now display past event when i’m in calendar view

    Not sure it was introduced by the upgrade though

    With those ‘hotkeys’ feature my API module fails to work: when I type binded symbols inside a text input, the system reacts as if I use hotkeys.
    How might that be fixed?

    It`s not a bug, it`s a feature. Now you can set different column witdh for different tabs. Just hit t-1/2/3/4 or use a little arrow for tab options.

    But, you told us that when you try to go on Netvibes you still have the loading page.

    Have you try to refresh your page ?

    Witch browser are you using ?

    Can you try to delete all your internet temporary files, reboot your computer and try again ?

    now when I hit alt+d to select the address bar and type in a new web address, I just get a selection window around the active widget. I want to use alt+d to move the cursor to the browser’s location textbox.

    Mozilla Firefox 1.5 and Bon Echo (firefox 2.0 beta). Same problem with I.E.
    Windows Xp Professional Ed.

    Done. If I Log out the page loads correctly.

    The issue bagun when I tried to add (with the + button, from the My modules page)a tab I had submit, called Comunicazione.

    The line number and "v" parameter is slightly different in each case. Happens for weather, Yahoo, Gmail, Writely, to-do, and bookmarks boxes.

    Odd problem here, too. After several reloads/refreshes, I finally got the bookmarks, ToDo Lists, and Popmail modules to fully load. Then, when I switch to a different tab, and back, the entire page is blank, except for the footer.

    Using Firefox 1.5.something

    Netvibes is downloading my feed in loop. riddle.pl/blog/images/fee… – see? I checked this in stats and 99% of hits = 50.000 was from Netvibes. You should fix this because you generate a lot of traffic there.
