Good news! Netvibes now integrates the Facebook Connect functionality, which allows you to be authenticated instantly on your dashboard through Facebook.

What is Facebook Connect?

Facebook Connect is a service offered by Facebook so that people can log into their favorite sites using their Facebook username and password. Once you have connected your Facebook profile to Netvibes, you’ll be able to log into Netvibes via Facebook. That means you won’t need to enter a separate password for Netvibes. No new password to remember!

To try Facebook Connect, just choose the Facebook login option on sign in on Netvibes. In addition to making it easier to log into Netvibes, Facebook Connect also allows you to use your name and profile photo from your Facebook account on Netvibes and to easily share with your friends by posting articles, comments, and submissions to your Facebook feed.

What personal data from my Facebook account is shared with Netvibes?

Currently, only the user’s full name, email address and profile image is shared.

How can I connect my existing Netvibes account to Facebook?

Connecting your Netvibes account to Facebook is easy. Go to your Account Settings and choose “Facebook Connect”.

How do I disconnect my Netvibes and Facebook accounts?

Once you sign into Netvibes with Facebook, a connection is maintained between your Facebook and Netvibes accounts, even when you sign out of Netvibes and back in. If you would like to permanently disconnect your Netvibes and Facebook accounts, Go to your Account Settings and choose “Disable Facebook Connect”.

Will my Netvibes activity be shared automatically into Facebook?

You are in complete control over what Netvibes activity you share with your friends on Facebook. You will be asked first to confirm that you want to share it. You can choose to share or not share each article/widget.
