Netvibes is now a standard subscribtion choice in feedburner
Feedburner is a great application to monitor your RSS feeds statistics. If you have a blog or a service that produce RSS feeds you should have a look at their services.
Feedburner let you subscribe to RSS feeds as well and we are very proud to announce that the netvibes RSS feed subscription button is now available. Adding your favorite blogs and podcast should be easier.

You just need to click on the button.
By the way, if you wan’t to use this mechanism for your feeds, simply copy & paste the following code:
XHTML
<a href="http://www.netvibes.com/subscribe.php?url=http://www.example.com/"> <img src="http://www.netvibes.com/img/add2netvibes.gif" width="91" height="17" alt="Add to netvibes" /> </a>
HTML
<a href="http://www.netvibes.com/subscribe.php?url=http://www.example.com/"> <img src="http://www.netvibes.com/img/add2netvibes.gif" width="91" height="17" alt="Add to netvibes"> </a>
and you will get something like this :
And we should have soon some extra buttons to add iCal events and API modules.

The background behind the tabs is oh so pretty!
#14 | John | April 19th, 2006 at 03:15
@13 while "pretty" is nice, having feeds that load would be better. At time of posting at least 30% of my links are not loading at all. This is the first time this issue has been so pronounced, for me.
#15 | sc | April 19th, 2006 at 06:20
Same issue as #14.. Starting today, many of my feeds are no longer updating – refreshing the feed and/or website doesn’t help either. If I re-add the feed back into the page, it starts to work again.
#16 | Adam | April 19th, 2006 at 07:32
I like the new background behind the tabs. Nice work!
#17 | Ohad | April 19th, 2006 at 09:21
Congrats guys on adding feedburner.
I am using feedburner in my blog as my RSS publishing tool. Just clicked on a add to netvibes link in my feed to add it to my netvibes account.
#18 | Luke | April 19th, 2006 at 10:24
I like the tab-background too, and while we’re on the subject of GUI coloring, how about a few simple colorschemes to choose from. I for instance would prefer a little black-grey instead of blue.

I believe "Color themes" is in their "FEATURES IN THE WORKS" list. Checkout the top left of this page

It would be so nice if they fixed the feeds.
#21 | JM | April 19th, 2006 at 14:35
Or at least told us that we need to re-add every feed.
#22 | John | April 19th, 2006 at 14:37
@ JM
I would have to say that it would be pretty BASIC if they fixed the feeds.
It’s an absolute mess however it doesnt seem as though it’s not universal. I have friends like my self who are ready to go back to Google and other who have no problems at all???
#23 | alex | April 19th, 2006 at 15:05
feeds work really well for me. is it any extra ordinary feeds you have? do the feeds validate in feedvalidator.org ?
#24 | John | April 19th, 2006 at 15:22
@ Alex
The feeds I have are the same feeds I’ve had for months.
Today they went to hell in a hand basket. Now something had to have happened for all of that to change overnight.
BTW all the feeds work at GoogleHome and in other readers.
#25 | Mike | April 19th, 2006 at 16:49
Its kinda funny, all my feeds are working perfectly. The only one that I had to restore was the Netvibes Blog. ^.^;;
I love the spaced RSS option, and the new background for the tabs is absolutly wonderful. It just makes NV look so crisp and clean vs. Google’s blocky interface.
#26 | JM | April 19th, 2006 at 20:00
Even feeds I have re-added have collapsed.
#27 | Tariq KRIM | April 19th, 2006 at 20:32
Some users are experiencing feed issues, we believe this pb occured in the preview.netvibes.com beta version or with users that switched from the preview to the www version.
In any case to repport a pb you should always use the feedback form at the bottom of the netvibes page. You should also precise in your feedback if you were a preview.netvibes.Com user.
thanks
#28 | JohnH | April 19th, 2006 at 20:32
26: Yea I have noticed that too. I sent off a feedback but haven’t heard anything on it.

Rien à voir, mais tant que j’y suis :
Quel rapport entre Netvibes et Dodoor.cn ?
http://www.dodoor.cn/
C’est furieusement proche, tout de même.
Alors, projet de localisation ou vente de technologie ?
#30 | sc | April 20th, 2006 at 00:00
It looks you fixed the problem with the feeds not loading. Thank you so much!
#31 | Tariq KRIM | April 20th, 2006 at 02:46
yep fixed.

I used to love netvibes, but it keeps crashing my browser now, please fix it or i’ll have to switch to another homepage.
#37 | Proc | April 20th, 2006 at 17:01
I’ve sent the following question through the usual channels but so far I received no reply:
Is there a way for me to view my yahoo-mail or gmail via Netvibes without having my password kept/intercepted by a netvibes server?
#38 | Fisch2 | April 20th, 2006 at 18:47
To #36: Please submit a detailed feedback/bug report to netvibes so they’ll be able to track down what keeps on crashing your browser.
#39 | Francois | April 21st, 2006 at 09:35
Just a tip to add a html api module without using the preview site (which is no longer available).
Put a link like these in your browser :
preview.netvibes.com/addA…
Replace "urltoyourmodule" and submit. Next, reload your netvibes page (the www one ! not the preview) , you’ll find a new tab call "Lost&Found" with your module , then put it in the tab you want !
#40 | Tnggz | April 21st, 2006 at 11:26
Congratulations guys !
#41 | Fisch2 | April 21st, 2006 at 14:45
What happened to preview.netvibes.com? I can no longer access it — Also, the tip in #39 doesn’t work anymore cause there’s a Netvibes-like box that says only developers may use the preview version (and I am a developer).
#42 | John | April 22nd, 2006 at 02:42
@ Fisch2
Accessing Preview Netvibes was highlighted by Tariq KRIM in reply 27 as being a likely cause of the problems with links not operating properly earlier this week.
Having it closed until the issue is sorted is OK by me as it caused real problems for a lot of users.

#46 | Mark | April 24th, 2006 at 04:15
Is it just me, or has the setting of cookies stopped working properly (and therefore all forms that check for the existence of these cookies)? For example, even in the "Configuration Forms" example (http://www.netvibes.com/api/0.3/... it appears that the form is operating incorrectly (i.e., the input boxes appear without having clicked on an "edit" link).
#47 | DK | April 24th, 2006 at 12:35
My netvibes no longer loads most of my feeds. I tried from a number of acess points. I have to go and find an alternative but I enjoyed nv for a while.
Adios

You guys are doing a great job. The tabs are a nice feature.
#49 | Guillaume | April 25th, 2006 at 17:10
Hello,
Do you think it is possible to develop an extension to firefox to add in netvibes the rss detected with the orange button ? It will be really great !
#50 | cc | April 26th, 2006 at 13:35
ref post 47. I’m still having problems too. Some days the feeds load, but usually about half of them don’t. So then I have to go to Google home page to read them.
Would like to stay with netvibes but it’s starting to wear me down.
I have sent a detailed ‘feedback’ about the problem.
#51 | motivr | April 26th, 2006 at 18:26
@49, A Firefox extension called Livelines can do that, you can customize RSS button to add a feed to Netvibes although it is not in the preset.
#52 | Hamid Reza Mohammadi | April 26th, 2006 at 18:59
I don’t like rememberance of my last opened tab used in netvibes, because one of my tabs is heavy and I may close the page without loading it completely. I want to set a default tab for my Netvibes page, which whenever I open my page I can see it. How can I do that or when do you make it possible?
#53 | John | April 27th, 2006 at 08:43
#52, this can be done with the "Customize" module
#54 | Pedro Cab | April 28th, 2006 at 14:25
Era o que o Feedburner precisava para eu mudar de vez meus feeds para ele!
Parabéns à equipe Netvibes pelo excelente trabalho! =)
PS: Sorry, but I don’t speak english very well, so I write in portuguese… If you want know the translation, use Google. =P

I love Netvibes, but I find that I often have to reload after clearing/resetting the red feed counters. After reloading, the feed counters go back to the same number. I have to do this several times, or sometimes wait an hour and try again to reset the feeds.
I find it odd that for such a sophisticated RSS client, with new features being rolled out every week or two, that then can’t fix the feed problem. That is the most critical enhancement request from me.
Or am I the only one having this problem? By the way, I’m using Firefox 1.52. Tried clearing cookies, cache, history, etc. and it doesn’t make a difference.
#58 | Maris | May 3rd, 2006 at 14:40

Thanks! I just added Netvibes to my blog syndication services via Feedburner. Took about 3 minutes flat! Great application.
