Improvements on Netvibes

Here is a quick update on some improvements we’ve made on the interface recently.

  • Links on the rss modules are now real links, which means that firefox users can middle click them and open the pages in tabs. (very requested feature)
  • Feed headlines now display with several lines if necessary.
  • The feeds are now auto-updating every 20 minutes, and for those pathetic compulsive users that need an immediate update on some feeds (I’m one of them) a new icon will help
  • The feed reader opens at the right position when you scroll the page down (It used to display only at the top of the page, pretty annoying)
  • Bunch of bugs fixed regarding feeds not loading or importing OPML

Keep an eye on next week news, new features and new modules are coming !

    - configurable updating?
    – a better reader with playlist capability?
    – multi pages
(sorry, missed the features in work list up there)

    Amazing!

Awesome update. The reader+scoll fix was definatly needed, the firefox support also made things a whole lot easier.

I’d still like to see the "Enter your title here" optional and that area used by actual content instead. I have faith that it’ll come sometime though. :)

Rock on! These are already some killer improvements. It’s going to be fun to watch what future changes occur, and when.

    Keep it up!

I would also like to see the "enter your title here" change to optional. I really appreciate your site You have assisted in the elevation of my intelligence. I love having netvibes as my homepage. I also enjoy how when I click on a feed it opens in the same page.

I like the improvments, but if I could suggest that you give some alt text to you close button in the feed reader "window". I sometimes browse with images disabled when i’m in a low bandwidth situation and would like to be able to close the feed reader "window" without reloading the page.

    Thanks.

    Excellent work!
One thing that bothers me, however: the gmail integration does not refresh, and if one wants to update it, one must reload the entire page.
Also, it would be nice to be able to go directly into the gmail inbox, if possible.
