Everyone on Ginger

The most important migration of netvibes history starts today. We are moving all netvibes users to Ginger.
Some of you may have already been migrated when you read these lines. We are excited by this migration that will enable users to access all new features.
To know more about ginger, we have launched a tour here.
During the upgrade, you may encounter feedburner stats issues, but everything should be fixed shortly when the migration is completed.
Our team is working diligently to limit technical issues during the process.
Thank you for your huge support and we hope you continue to have fun with the new netvibes.

Great news !
#4 | Paperghost | April 29th, 2008 at 12:35
I really hope the Feedburner issue is addressed. I’ve been seeing my stats drop on and off for the last month or two, and in the last week all of my Netvibes subscribers have been missing 24/7.
#5 | Matt | April 29th, 2008 at 13:27
My account appears to have disappeared now!

I can’t log in at all. Apparently I don’t exist. Sigh. Known issue?

If you are waiting for too long or if you have any other issue please contact the support team: http://www.netvibes.com/static.p...

Looks like a lot of us have been left out in the cold this morning. Suddenly after months of daily Netvibes usage, I don’t exist in their database. If I must recreate my entire Netvibes site, I’m not sure it’s worth the effort.
I’ve sent a message to the help desk. So far no response.
#11 | Samy | April 29th, 2008 at 15:53
@Yogadad: please contact our support team with mention of the e-mail account that you use in netvibes: http://www.netvibes.com/static.p...

I mentioned my e-mail in my comment to the support team and haven’t heard anything from them. I really don’t want to have to dig up all the links and make the new pages.

Great news, keep it up
#14 | Paperghost | April 29th, 2008 at 19:26
I’m sure you’re already aware of this (and I’ll contact support anyway) BUT….as soon as the upgrade was completed, the EBay "essential widget" was stuck on "loading". I removed the app, and tried to re-add it – but no matter how long you click on the icon for, no box appears in the middle of the screen asking you if you want to add the widget or not. Strange. I like that app, too

Hi!
Great News – But: My hole data/account has been deleted – I already got in touch with helpdesk due to this.
#17 | Markus | April 30th, 2008 at 10:22
Hi!
I just wanted to add that my account has been restored completely – very nice, quick work thanks for this!
Keep up that good work!

Is it possible to delete my public page?
#19 | mordy | April 30th, 2008 at 15:01
ever since the ginger migration began i have experienced so many nagging problems- server error messages, read links whose status mysteriously and intermittently revert to unread, options once easily found so buried (and shifting) as to render them nearly impossible to find. Guys, this is a great service/site but taking something that has (seemingly) been stable and turning it into a house of cards can’t be a good idea!

I can’t login!
"Invalid email or password"
"There is no match in the database, check your info and try again."
#21 | Martin Lindeskog | April 30th, 2008 at 18:50
François,
Thanks for your help! It is working now!
#22 | Dennis | April 30th, 2008 at 22:07
Same problem here. I can’t login. I’ve send an email but no response so far. Is there any way that i can get my old netvibes page restored? It worked so fine….
#23 | Bart | May 1st, 2008 at 13:28
I haz nothing any more! Since the migration process I can’t login any longer. Even worse, my e-mail is not recognized when I try to retrieve my password! More details:

Please resolve this asap!

I lost everything! Doesn’t recognize me. Tech support said clear cache, reset and restart browser. That didn’t work. All of my bookmarks and notes are GONE!
I left iGoogle for netvibes, now I’m back to iGoogle and see it has added some themes, has lots of gadgets, and the thing NEVER goes down or send you to the disappearing zone.
Love to come back to netvibes but this leaves a bad taste.

The sixth day without Netvibes. I can still not login. My e-mail address and password aren’t recognised. Time I inform Michael Arrington (Techcrunch) so he can write a post about it…

#28 | Bart | May 3rd, 2008 at 23:04
@Tariq: Yes, I’ve used the feedback form about a week ago. I also posted the problem to the forum. No real answers until know and it seems I’m not the only one with this problem. I was the first to promote and try out Netvibes and Ginger so please guys don’t let me down!
#29 | François | May 5th, 2008 at 09:54
Hello Bart, did you receive our last e-mail? Have you still got any problems when you try to access to your account?
#30 | Bart | May 5th, 2008 at 18:07
Hello François. Unfortunately I did not receive any e-mail from Netvibes. I just tried to login, but that didn’t work either. Retrieving my password doesn’t work either. I’m registered with the e-mail I’m using to post this comment.
#31 | Jim | May 6th, 2008 at 04:09

#32 | Bart | May 6th, 2008 at 08:44

#33 | Cute Gina | May 6th, 2008 at 21:32
Yeah cool !
I still think Ginger is a drink and not a red-haired girl that is pictured in this post.
#34 | Bart | May 6th, 2008 at 22:16
Thanks Netvibes for the follow-up. The issue is resolved now.
#35 | Shannon | May 7th, 2008 at 20:41
I only started using Netvibes a couple of weeks ago. It’s an impressive product… when it works. This is just another of many downtimes with no real information about when things will be back up, and in some cases we’re not even informed why the server is either hiccuping or is completely unresponsive.
I hope this is the last "server upgrade" for a while. It’s annoying to have one’s homepage down or malfunctioning so often. If I see much more of this, even for "upgrades", I’m going to have to switch to another service.
#36 | Thibault | May 8th, 2008 at 20:29
No problem, thanks for the follow-up!
#37 | klein | May 9th, 2008 at 15:58
Problem solved… Thanks from me, too
#38 | joe | May 11th, 2008 at 04:59

I am sure making the switch was tough. I just went through major changes with my own site. I can only imagine how hard your jobs have been. Just wanted to say thanks for getting my account straight. I am sure you guys deserve a compliment after reading other comments.
