Coriander launch : step 1

As announced a few days ago, we are starting to introduce new features of netvibes “Coriander” version.

Resizable columns

Until now, you could adjust the layout with 1, 2, 3 or 4 columns to take advantage of all you screen space. Today, we are pushing the layout possibilities a bit further by allowing the columns to have a custom width. Have a module with your favorite comics ? Simply make your column wider so you can read it comfortably.

You can drag and drop the unobtrusive handles between the columns to make them wider or narrower.

Resize columns

If you want to reset the columns, simply double-click on the handle. Your layout will come back to its default settings. Perfect tip for alignment maniacs ;)

New Coriander theme

Because a new version is a special event, this new netvibes is dressing up in a new theme. Shiny colors and round corners will give some eye candy to your modules.

Coriander theme

Use Coriander theme

Feeds navigation

It is now possible to read your feeds beyond the display limit. What happens when you get four new articles, but you can only see three ? You’re missing one article, right ? Not anymore, just press “Next”…

Feeds navigation

This feature can be enabled in the “Settings” panel.

.Mac mail module

In addition to GMail, Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, AOL and other POP e-mail, you can now get your latest e-mails from your .Mac account.

.Mac mail module

Add .Mac Mail module to Netvibes

And as expected, we fixed the bugs you reported to us. Thank you for keeping us informed – your feedbacks really matter to us.

Please let us know how much you like the new features.

I never thought that resizable columns could make such a big advance. But adjusting it, makes me feel more comfortable. Thanks a lot!

Resizable columns : Très bonne idée !
Vous gardez plusieurs longueurs d’avance sur tous vos "concurrents" (j’ai essayé pageflakes, et les versions de google et microsoft) !

  6. #6 | melancolik | February 28th, 2007 at 14:23

Very nice improvements, for me netvibes is near to be the best news aggregator.
    Tks

  7. #7 | Jonathan | February 28th, 2007 at 14:25

  13. #13 | Gasón | February 28th, 2007 at 14:34

    Great new features, as usual
I´m waiting for the servers to work again but just reading about them is great.. oh yeah i´m a Netvibes fanboy.. haha

  14. #14 | Thomas | February 28th, 2007 at 14:34

    Vraiment cool !

Dommage que vous n’implémentier pas la fonction "stared" que propose Google News, afin de sauvegarder des post qui intéresse.

  15. #15 | Franck | February 28th, 2007 at 14:34

Nicolas> step 1 is to prepare for UWA too :) Stay tuned for the new API later this week

  16. #16 | Adrienhb | February 28th, 2007 at 14:40

Hâte d’essayer la fonction "navigation". ;-)
J’espère que ce sera une fonction intelligente et que la flèche n’apparaîtra qu’en cas de besoin (j’en demande trop?).

    A.

    ps:
Et marquer "non lue" une note lue?

  17. #17 | Gian | February 28th, 2007 at 14:40

Finally something like ‘feed navigation’ to click through the feeds. A great addition to netvibes. Can’t wait to start using it.

    Keep up the good work!

  18. #18 | Frank | February 28th, 2007 at 14:41

Love the new features. Hate the downtime :(

  19. #19 | Mika | February 28th, 2007 at 14:43

    sounds great !
    I can’t wait to try that !

    mais j’aime pas attendre :)

  20. #20 | Mario | February 28th, 2007 at 14:47

absolut cool! Das hat echt noch gefehlt. Und das neue Theme ist ist auch der knüller! Thx

  21. #21 | durerca | February 28th, 2007 at 14:51

I know I’m not the only one to have wanted feeds navigation to get to older RSS items, but I had emailed a feedback a few weeks ago asking for that feature so it’s fantastic to see it show up on Netvibes. Thanks for the great development work.

  22. #22 | Chris | February 28th, 2007 at 14:52

Great news, can’t wait during the upgrade… I’m addicted to Netvibes.

  23. #23 | Ques | February 28th, 2007 at 14:54

Seriously, Netvibes just keeps getting better and better.

  24. #24 | alex_mayorga | February 28th, 2007 at 15:00

I sent this one to feedback time ago: as part of the lack of standards, some publishers (I’m looking at you IBM) put their old items on the feed first. Can netvibes give us an option to choose "older first" or "newest first" on a per feed fashion.
Kudos on the new features and please kick those servers up! =)

  25. #25 | jb | February 28th, 2007 at 15:01

    Great Features !
Go on like that, I will soon uninstall all my apps except my browser :D

  26. #26 | DavidM | February 28th, 2007 at 15:05

I think you improve our web relation. Thanks a lot! each time your improvements makes netvibes amazing and impressive! Bravo!

  27. #27 | Georg Heuschen | February 28th, 2007 at 15:06

Long awaited feature! So now I can trash my somewhat buggy greasemonkey script ;) Thanks a lot!

  28. #28 | Bruno | February 28th, 2007 at 15:07

    Excelent!

Who knows why Netvibes is being updates right now?

    Is it something new?

    Thank you,

Espectacular. Netvibes, único. El mejor. GRacias

thank you so much.. i love netvibes :-)

  31. #31 | JozhB | February 28th, 2007 at 15:15

    wow! Muchas gracias, Netvibes!
    wow! Very thanks, Netvibes!

  32. #32 | Nicolas | February 28th, 2007 at 15:16

Why the update is so long?

  33. #33 | Arnaud | February 28th, 2007 at 15:16

These improvements look great (especially resizable columns).

BUT why are you blocking all users during the upgrade ???

I manage ALL MY TODO LISTS on Netvibes and I cannot access it!
    I’m disappointed!

You should have mirrored the previous site during the upgrade, and eventually disable data modification.

Or you should at least have displayed a warning at the Netvibes startup 1 or 2 days ago.

I love Netvibes and you make a great job, so next time, think about it! ;)

  34. #34 | Nicolas | February 28th, 2007 at 15:17

If i fill netvibes.com on the website input field, my comment is display as a staff one :)

I’m a part of the NV crew right now…

Ok, it seems to be a bug :)

  35. #35 | giambo | February 28th, 2007 at 15:19

    Amazing!! Thank you a lot!

  36. #36 | Franck | February 28th, 2007 at 15:20

34> We know but "it’s a feature, not a bug" :D … I removed the URL you put

  37. #37 | Javitte | February 28th, 2007 at 15:23

Great improvements! Thank you so much for such a great tool.

  38. #38 | Nicolas | February 28th, 2007 at 15:23

    "It’s a feature not a bug" => I hope u’r kidding guy… :)

  39. #39 | Opo | February 28th, 2007 at 15:24

Strange time of day for a full Server Update… and no advance information…, just a : " please end you work ".
I hope to receive a better treatment next time…

  40. #40 | Jerry | February 28th, 2007 at 15:25

Absolutely amazing, how you guys keep on improving Netvibes. I keep sending my suggestions too–sorry that I’m never satisfied. ;-)

  41. #41 | alvaro442 | February 28th, 2007 at 15:30

how many tim will take the update??

  42. #42 | Tony Angelo | February 28th, 2007 at 15:30

Seriously, I don’t understand why anyone would use anything else for a start page or a feed reader. Netvibes is simply the best.

(P.S. – Okay, maybe if Netvibes prefetched the feeds and served them directly from their servers rather than having me to wait for the individual sources … )

  43. #43 | dahj | February 28th, 2007 at 15:32

    awesome!!!

  44. #44 | blogkitten | February 28th, 2007 at 15:33

While I’m twitching like a junkie in need of my Netvibes fix, I’m excited by the new features and service that you guys are implementing.

As a LONG time user of Netvibes (I think since you guys started), I want to give you kudos for making this the best damn homepage out there. Soon as payday hits, I’m making a donation.

Thanks for all the hard work!

    *twitch*

    I hope it’s not much longer…!! ;-)

  45. #45 | miguel | February 28th, 2007 at 15:38

Awsome! Netvibes es genial! Como dijo alguien por ahi arriba, estoy adicto.
Es la mejor página de inicio del universo!
El nuevo sistema de columnas es buenísimo y le da un aspecto mucho msa de programa q controlamos nosotros. Gracias!

( English )NV is great! And, as someone before said, i’m addicted… It’s the best start page in the world. The new colums gives us the feeling that we can control even more things! Thanks!

And thanks for de .Mac mail, although i don’t have one.

  46. #46 | Opo | February 28th, 2007 at 15:43

Someone has his Netvibes working ?

    All are at rest ?

    let us know!

    Opo

  47. #47 | durerca | February 28th, 2007 at 15:46

I’ve been navigating the new theme and seeing the new features. Netvibes is definitely better than ever. I would request though that the extra feed navigation be made on a per module basis instead of globally. There are some feeds I don’t need the next/previous arrows for so it would save space to leave them out. Thanks again.

  48. #48 | Groovymarlin | February 28th, 2007 at 15:49

I try other portal pages but always come back to Netvibes, you guys are the best! Unfortunately everything is loading really slooooow right now but hopefully that will be better later today. I’d also like to second the request for more ways to configure display of feeds (oldest first, newest first, etc.). Bravo to Coriander though! :)

  49. #49 | Chad | February 28th, 2007 at 16:00

All my feeds are now listed in one long column on the left side. It’s the same on every tab. I can move them back to their proper spots on the page, but it’s very annoying.

  50. #50 | minsou | February 28th, 2007 at 16:00

  51. #51 | François | February 28th, 2007 at 16:02

  54. #54 | ad | February 28th, 2007 at 16:06

The link for adding the .Mac module doesn’t work!

  55. #55 | okoze | February 28th, 2007 at 16:07

Japanese translation of word "previous" displayed in the Feeds navigation is wrong.

  56. #56 | Sylvain | February 28th, 2007 at 16:09

I was SOOOOOOO looking for the .mac mail module… What a disapointment it doesn’t work! Not anymore than with the IMAP module… Really really sorry bout that!

  57. #57 | SeB.fr | February 28th, 2007 at 16:10

please add a setting check box for RSS feeds to only display unread items, this way many clicks would be avoided when many rss lies on the page.
You would not have to close them all and open them again when a new item is available. All RSS feed would be opened but only display the unread items.

    SeB.

  58. #58 | gogi | February 28th, 2007 at 16:11

plz add time to podcast player !!!

  59. #59 | Nicolas | February 28th, 2007 at 16:11

    All my module are down… :( ((

    Am i alone?

  60. #60 | Franck | February 28th, 2007 at 16:13

okoze> Our translators did use "ブログ検索" for previous and "次" for next.
Feel free to send us the correct words and we will correct it asap

Nicolas> Try to clear your browser’s cache and if you still have the problem please send us the name of the modules… on our test accounts they do work fine.

  61. #61 | Jerry | February 28th, 2007 at 16:14

I agree with durerca; the feed navigation would only be useful to me on a few of my feeds, not every one. Please change it to be a configurable on a feed-by-feed basis.

Also, I really like the new theme’s rounded corners, but I don’t like the colours at all. I still maintain that muted colours are great for feeds that are read (up to date), but they should go bright when there are unread items on the feed, so I could easily find new items without having to search for a little red number somewhere on my tab.

  62. #62 | ad | February 28th, 2007 at 16:16

Ok, adding the .Mac module is working now, but all my Mails are marked as unread!

  63. #63 | Jean | February 28th, 2007 at 16:17

    Great job!

  64. #64 | qqqq | February 28th, 2007 at 16:20

New theme realy cool! And colums resizing is very useful ;D Thanks Netvibes team!

  65. #65 | Nicolas | February 28th, 2007 at 16:22

I confirm even clearing the cache all my module are down…

    I send u the url

  66. #66 | Kenny | February 28th, 2007 at 16:24

Did you change the API module? some of my API modules are broken???? Please fix!!

  67. #67 | betahoven | February 28th, 2007 at 16:27

    Great stuff as usual, thanks.

  68. #68 | okoze | February 28th, 2007 at 16:27

Franck>The right Japanese translation of "previous" is "前".

  69. #69 | Ryan | February 28th, 2007 at 16:44

I love the new update, however when i switch to the new theme, it causes a fatal crash in my browser (Win Xp, Firefox 3.0aPre3). I have no additional information (no error message other then fatal flaw). You can reach me at the email address i provided. Great Work otherwise!

  70. #70 | Cim | February 28th, 2007 at 16:45

I was scratching my head why netvibes all of a sudden looked differnent. I use the Digg.com module a lot so I sort of did not notice the arrows all over the place at first.

It’s a good feature, personally I’m too much of a creature of habit to change. I like it just the way I had it before.

About the theme though. I’d like to see more themes with a little "texture" to them, like the halloween theme. Some background images and such to give it some flavor. Maybe that’s just me, but if I were to request anything that would be it.

    Good job netvibes. :)

  71. #71 | lydia | February 28th, 2007 at 16:47

    wow, love the new features!

  72. #72 | Alex | February 28th, 2007 at 17:00

Box.net module is borked for me now?

Also, pleease where is Windows Live Mail support?

  73. #73 | DavidM | February 28th, 2007 at 17:12

I have some trouble for publish a new rss feed from netvibes to the eco. I have the popup window and after i click "OK" the system log me out…

  74. #74 | cmorison | February 28th, 2007 at 17:16

The new API has broken all my modules which use Ajax.Request(NV_XML_REQUEST_URL + ‘?url=’ + escape("…

Even your own example doesn’t work anymore: http://www.netvibes.com/api/0.3/...

    Please fix this!

    Chris.

  75. #75 | Frank | February 28th, 2007 at 17:17

Love the update. But when i resize the colums in my browser (Opera 9.10) the fonts get real big. And won’t get away until i refresh the page or clear the page? An error on your side or is it just Opera being a bit silly at the moment?

  76. #76 | Haf | February 28th, 2007 at 17:23

Wow, this is a great release. I won’t have that much use for the resizable columns, but the new feed navigation is really great for me!
The new theme is also nice.

What have you planned for the future? :)

  77. #77 | manni | February 28th, 2007 at 17:26

I don’t know why devs don’t ever seem to learn. I like the new Feeds navigation, but you are again giving us only an global option like you did with the number of columns! Why not just skip that step and let us choose to enable and disable it for every feed or at least per tab? One tab became useless to me with this feature, as it chews all of my CPU power and there are certainly a few feeds where I’m only interested in the newest items.

  78. #78 | Steve E | February 28th, 2007 at 17:37

Huge improvements as ever! Well done Tariq etc!

  79. #79 | cmorison | February 28th, 2007 at 17:38

I love the new features, especially the resizeable columns. Two suggestions though:

    1) Only display the Feed navigation arrows if the number of new items is *more* than the visible items.

    2) Please give us a way to change the colour of a module back to the default.

    Keep up the good work!

  80. #80 | François | February 28th, 2007 at 17:43

cmorison> The Ajax issue with Mini API modules should be fixed now !

    All my modules are up.

  82. #82 | cmorison | February 28th, 2007 at 17:48

François> works perfectly now. Great work, thanks very much!

  83. #83 | DaveH | February 28th, 2007 at 18:51

manni > Please tell me how you are paying for your use of netvibes? Are you clicking through on all the Ads oh wait, there are none. Are you paying for the pro version? Oh wait there isn’t one…..

  84. #84 | Steve | February 28th, 2007 at 18:53

Netvibes has the best developer community! One thing that would make it even better is a sandbox site where we could test our modules with these major upgrades. We could have reported the Ajax.Request problem before it became an issue with our users. But, great response time on getting it fixed!

  85. #85 | Jérémie Moritz | February 28th, 2007 at 18:53

Resizable columns are great stuff !
Considering the coriander theme… I think you can do better, for me the best theme is the halloween one because there is a lot of contrast between the background and the blocks…if you can propose more stuff like that …

Thks anyway, keep up the good work

  86. #86 | Romain128 | February 28th, 2007 at 19:17

    Génial :D
    [/french]

  87. #87 | grawity | February 28th, 2007 at 19:22

85> I don’t like the halloween theme because of its "old" icons that are sharp and doesn’t blend with the interface.

  88. #88 | Guille | February 28th, 2007 at 19:34

    Nice!

I also think per-feed adjustment is better than global adjustment.

And one detail: in the Notes module links doesn’t have the colour of the rest of the text. They’re always black.

  89. #89 | Christoph | February 28th, 2007 at 20:10

I love the new "Coriander" theme and it’s the first one I’m more or less happy with since the great and very ergonomic "Classic" theme, that drew me to this service in the first place.
With one exceptions: (Web)notes just look horrible and are unnecessarily hard to read, especially in the regular PostIt-yellow. I hope these will be adjusted to look more like the notes in the "Classic" theme with a solid background color and black text (or at least make this look optional).

  90. #90 | fraNcesco | February 28th, 2007 at 20:17

Great Job, but the Coriander theme "crash" my Firefox 2.0.0.2

  91. #91 | fraNcesco | February 28th, 2007 at 20:21

Suggestion: Improve the bookmark section, I think it is the most used.
You can insert icon, "rank", "most used"…..

  92. #92 | JMG | February 28th, 2007 at 21:00

Great new features but i is having the same problems as Frank mentioned in comment #75. When i resized one column in opera the font got really big and now i cant get the normal font back. Refresh, logout, closing browser…nothing works. The font is really big!

  93. #93 | cc | February 28th, 2007 at 21:15

WoW…Looking good Netvibes. You guys are number ONE.

  94. #94 | john445 | February 28th, 2007 at 22:18

This may only be me, but since switching to Coriander, after reading feeds blog, etc and closing the feeds window back to the regular page, it all reloads again. I’ve switched to classic and pages stil reload each time. This really slows everything down. Something I am doing wrong???

  95. #95 | Martin | February 28th, 2007 at 22:20

Great new features! Resizing the columns is a great feature, but maybe an option to show/hide them? Or perhaps make them invisible until you hover the mouse over them?

I’d also still like an easy way to mark all my feeds on a tab as Read, and the Netvibes Customize module options really should be status quo and in the Settings menu from the start.

Still loving it, though. Netvibes is the greatest.

  96. #96 | mark | February 28th, 2007 at 22:52

as far as customization goes, NV rules all others. fantastic work, people. keep it up.

can someone please tell me how to make a FOURTH column? it’s not in settings, and i can’t find a module to do it either. thanks.

  97. #97 | Jonathan | March 1st, 2007 at 00:42

mark: click on the tab settings (under the close tab button), then you can change the number of columns

  98. #98 | alvaro | March 1st, 2007 at 00:45

now the characters are more tiny!! noo please, giveme a bigger characters to read fine! :-)

Nice, yes defintely the arrows are a nice new feature.

    Thanks,

    A.

  101. #101 | paul | March 1st, 2007 at 01:26

    OH..MY..GOD!

I had not checked NV all day and when i went back it was not working. So i refreshed and BOOM! Looks good!. I actually have been considering Webjam.com due to its resizing factor, but no more! anyone ever use Webjam? Nice, but very convoluted and difficult to maneuver around.

  102. #102 | esoterroriffik | March 1st, 2007 at 01:48

Coriander looks great, but i have some concerns and suggestions.
I’m noticing some lag time with my mouse switching from pointer, finger to resize. Also there is a slow response when I click on my tabs. It seemed with cinnamon release and classic everything seemed more responsive and loaded up quicker. I’m sure these are just little bugs that will be addressed.
I like the resize feature, but is there a way to set one’s page after alterations are made. It would be nice if there was a feature in settings where one could hide the resize toggles after desired settings are made. Thanks netvibes team for a great service.

  103. #103 | joelfinkle | March 1st, 2007 at 01:57

    I do *not* like what you’ve done to scrolling — a down-arrow shouldn’t scroll a whole screenful.

I’m also having problems with one feed: Engadget leaves "unread" stories on the main screen that won’t turn "read".

  104. #104 | paul | March 1st, 2007 at 02:36

ok, maybe i spoke to soon. I did not realize that the resizing was "all or nothing". I was hoping we could resize individual modules, a la Protopage. Webjam acts the same way as this new netvibes feature, but it is very sluggish

  105. #105 | ansel | March 1st, 2007 at 06:34

Thanks for the new features. I tried today to switch from using Bloglines as my feed reader to Netvibes, with a tab for each folder (I subscribe to about 80 feeds). It doesn’t work well – it’s difficult to see where there are unread posts and I have to open and close the feed viewer each time I switch from one feed(s) to another. I would really appreciate a single-pane scrolling feed viewer or module option, a la Bloglines or Google Reader. Then Netvibes would be perfect.

  106. #106 | motivr | March 1st, 2007 at 07:06

It would be easier to click if the next/previous arrow icons were on the same side, not one on the left, the other on the right.

  107. #107 | Michael | March 1st, 2007 at 08:44

After the update, Netvibes crashes Safari. I don’t know what you changed, but my Safari (2.0.4 (419.3) on Intel MacBook running OS 10.4.8) doesn’t appreciate it. Any chance this might be fixed, well, anytime soon? Netvibes is completely useless to me now.

  108. #108 | Anselme | March 1st, 2007 at 10:37

Good improvement, but could you make the tabs on multiple lines looking better?

  109. #109 | raiden | March 1st, 2007 at 10:46

Coriander is a shit, more slow, requires more resources and always when i put coriander the hard disk work to full.

  110. #110 | Nicolas | March 1st, 2007 at 11:16

Coriander is a nice theme, but why the tab corner are not round like the feeds one ??

    Cheers

  111. #111 | Inbal | March 1st, 2007 at 12:14

All the new features are things that I’ve been waiting for, it’s great!
I’m not sure you’re aware how the resize-handles and rounded corners look like with a dark customized background – the handles stick out, and there’s a visible square frame around the blocks.
The previous/next problem could be solved by using only arrows or the letters P/N on the sides, without taking extra space.
I would appreciate it if new themes will be released in all the colours that are available on Tonic. I’m not a big fan of the blue.

  112. #112 | Jari | March 1st, 2007 at 12:22

Nice work BUT what happened to auto-refresh? To get my feeds to update I have to manually refresh the browser (Firefox) now. Why????

  113. #113 | Inbal | March 1st, 2007 at 12:26

I just switched back to my Tonic Silver and discovered that the slow loading before was because of the theme. Just wanted to let you know.

  114. #114 | cc | March 1st, 2007 at 13:31

I just switched back too. Coriander is a lot slower.
I’ll keep my eye out for a fix though. Would love to run it
Must be those rounded corners !?!

  115. #115 | vieri | March 1st, 2007 at 14:22

    thanks for the new features,

    but :

the new ‘automatic scrolling’ up/down in the feeds menu is horrible. And i can’t find any option to disable it …

  116. #116 | Orli | March 1st, 2007 at 15:01

    Great update, Good job.

    About the Resizable columns;
I can see that it’s only have verticals option. What about horizontal? Drag up and down maybe?

  117. #117 | Pisu | March 1st, 2007 at 15:33

The Coriander theme is great!! I wanted to help with translation of new strings, but is very difficult to translate strings without see the context…

  118. #118 | apa | March 1st, 2007 at 16:16

    Hey,
Make a skrbl.com module! I don’t know what kind but it seems like a cool service.

  119. #119 | apa | March 1st, 2007 at 20:00

Sorry about that oneliner :) Now I have time too… skrbl.com is a web based multiuser whiteboard. A Netvibes module for that service could be something like the Meebo tab: a dedicated tab for a shared whiteboard.

  120. #120 | Bruno | March 2nd, 2007 at 04:46

The new features are great, and the new theme is nice too!

One suggestion: it would be great if we could make a module occupy two (or more) columns and not only one…

  121. #121 | NoWhereMan | March 2nd, 2007 at 11:48

I usually keep digg module collapsed; I think since the new version it doesn’t remind the collapsed setting anymore on page refresh.

    nice additions, though :)

  122. #122 | CoStas | March 2nd, 2007 at 12:15

    Tariq KRIM,

How do you consider adding new search engines to the Web Search module? I’d like to submit Quintura for a change.

  123. #123 | grawity | March 2nd, 2007 at 20:38

    116> horizontal resize? i don’t get it…

  124. #124 | egon | March 2nd, 2007 at 22:27

Wow, I LOVE the new theme, it’s beautiful. thank you for making it! The only thing I could suggest is give the modules a LITTLE bit more contrast from the rest of the page.

  125. #125 | paul | March 3rd, 2007 at 03:07

    grawity,

horizontal resize is being able to stretch the module top to bottom, not just left/right. check out protopage.com for the best way to see this in motion

  126. #126 | Deol | March 3rd, 2007 at 06:57

Holy Crap! Love the new change :)

  127. #127 | James | March 3rd, 2007 at 07:13

Coriander looks GREAT along with the new features!

However I noticed that not all the localized versions are not showing up that they used to show up.
Any idea what could be the reason?

    Thx.

  128. #128 | Atomic1fire | March 3rd, 2007 at 22:28

The new features are great and all but theres one feature I think netvibes could use
    an feed manager
a way to deleate as many or all of the feeds at once or add multiple feeds at once (where opml is not availible)

  129. #129 | Matt | March 4th, 2007 at 19:44

    Love those rounded corners :)

  130. #130 | Dexter | March 4th, 2007 at 23:33

Netvibes is crashing Safari for me now and in a couple of tabs the modules stop loading at a point, e.g. some feeds stay at "Loading…" indefinitely.

  131. #131 | Jeremy | March 5th, 2007 at 08:09

I like the new features, but many of my modules won’t load anymore. Argghh! I want it all to work.

  132. #132 | Sébastien DELORME | March 5th, 2007 at 12:31

    Bonjour,

    Cordialement,
    Sébastien DELORME

  133. #133 | Sébastien DELORME | March 5th, 2007 at 12:32

Sorry for my comment in french. I’m a little tired today.

  134. #134 | Sebastian | March 5th, 2007 at 16:48

Making a good thing even better. Keep up the great work. Netvibes right now is the ONLY site I am guaranteed to visit daily!

  135. #135 | Meya | March 5th, 2007 at 18:48

    What’s up, doc ?

  136. #136 | Rafa | March 6th, 2007 at 19:51

Excelent change! Round Corners are beautiful and smooooooooth.

  139. #139 | eskey | March 9th, 2007 at 14:05

    Great changes, I like them?

    But…
Is it possible to make feed navigation (previous/next) to be set up per single module instead of being a global setting?

  140. #140 | unqtom | March 10th, 2007 at 18:15

any plans for user generated themes for Netvibes? I am really missing any decent Dark coloured scheme – the halloween one, makes it one step closer but still it’s only partly dark.
If there is an possibility to have possibility to create CSS styles for your themes than you can definitely count on me for a contribution to prepare a Rocking Black/Grey scheme for you – It would be an honour.
BTW I love Netvibes and keep up the good work guyz – no other can keep up.

  141. #141 | Rodolfo | March 10th, 2007 at 19:29

Are you guys working on a Windows Live Mail accounts solution? Live.com’s Live Mail gadget hasn’t been working for almost 3 weeks, and I simply love all of Netvibes new features, but I can’t check my Live Mail account either here also… do you have an ETA for this feature?

  142. #142 | Ludo | March 14th, 2007 at 11:44

Les couleurs sont très pâles je trouve. Il faudrait garder ce theme Coriander mais avec les couleurs vives du thème Winter Plain.

Colors too clear, why not a new Theme Coriander like but with Winter Plain Theme colors.

  143. #143 | Dexter | March 15th, 2007 at 00:14

Instead of configuring the number of displayed items for each module, a more intuitive option would be to make them vertically resizable (in the same way you made the columns rresizable) and change the number of items displayed accordingly.

This would also be great for third party modules which often come with a fixed height definition.

please add a setting check box for RSS feeds to only display unread items, this way many clicks would be avoided when many rss lies on the page.
You would not have to close them all and open them again when a new item is available. All RSS feed would be opened but only display the unread items…
