With the rapid growth of real-time content and activity feeds from sources like Facebook and Twitter, many people are struggling to keep track of multiple friends and interests that change day-to-day. Today, we launched a novel solution and industry first: drag-and-follow widgets. New Facebook, MySpace and Twitter widgets now enable users to instantly create new widgets to follow new interests simply by dragging and dropping any feed item to their personalized page.
Some of you reported to us that Netvibes was recently blocked by Trend Micro, McAfee, Websense, FortiGuard and some other pieces of software. Since the beginning, we’ve always made sure that Netvibes.com stays an open platform. Everyone can create and distribute their widgetswith UWA and the Ecosystem. Today, you can add more than 182,000 widgets from the “Add content” panel. On May 27th, Netvibes will get a new dimension. Next Wednesday at 3AM UTC (Tuesday at 8PM in California), we are going to roll out a major update forcing us to a scheduled 4-hour downtime for the upgrade.
