Announcing Ginger official website and first public invites to the private beta

Netvibes Ginger

The official Ginger website is now open at ginger.netvibes.com. You will find more information about Ginger and if you have received an invitation for the private beta, you will be upgraded to ginger.

We have distributed thousands of invitations to bloggers and some will be distributed through twitter as well.

To the first 100 fastest reader of this blog, here is our first invitation code: NETVIBESFAN.

    I just got access to Ginger through the TechCrunch access code, it says I’m now on Ginger, yet Netvibes still only loads the Coriander version, how do i use Ginger?

    Great! I translated almost everything in Netvibes to Portuguese and I never got an invite to anything. No Universe, no Ginger, nothing.
    Now they’re giving invites to bloggers instead of Netvibes users.
    Apparently, the effort is not rewarded @ Netvibes.

    Anyone else having trouble loading Ginger? It worked for about thirty minutes, and now the page won’t load. I assume the invites response was overwhelming and it has bogged down the servers. Oh well, I’ll keep my fingers crossed it comes back soon, unless I’m the only one experiencing this, in which case…uh oh.

    All, I signed up for an invite code to Ginger and haven’t gotten any email but it says my email no longer has a Netvibes account. So I deleted all my cookies and restarted my browser and it let me sign in. I think there’s a cookie crossover confusion between ginger and the current coriander or something, but hopefully just deleting your cookies will set you straight.

    Not working for me either after using the FACEBOOK code. Tried clearing cookies/cache etc. If I try to use the code again I get the "Error. You’re already on Ginger!" message like sly and ravaza above.

    Don t know what s’ happening here, but I can t connect to Netvibes anymore and the link proposed by Samy gives the same error message :"Sorry, we are unable to connect you to netvibes". I did nt know I was so addicted to Netvibes, but indeed… all MY Internet is on it.. I hope you will fix that the fastest you can :D . I tried to enter some ginger codes unsucessfully yesterday.. I don t know if that can help you.

    Well … some time ago I logged onto Ginger with my invite code. I saw "will transfer" and dreaded the potential down-side.
    Time passed. Nothing happened.
    I logged in again. Nothing new.

    More time passed. Nothing.
    I tried to log in … invite had expired.
    I go straight to ginger.netvibes … invite code is required.

    Forgive me for seeming reactive but I safe-guard my autonomy jealously; I’ll walk down the brick-tunnel now and again, for something I think is worthwhile, but when I’m not navigating by my own lights I get uncomfortable.

    We impose our control on dumb animals through operant conditioning. That’s not something web sites should do to human individuals.

    So, stupified, I need ask: what now?

    I would love a little improvement.
    The activity function is VERY VERY great, but could be even great if have a search function and a module to add on netvibes :)

    I use it as favorite mark :)
