Netvibes Potions are the best way to automate actions between your favorite apps, smart devices and data. Get your houseplants to tweet when they’re thirsty, automatically share your newest blog post on Facebook and Reddit, or receive an email when your monthly web traffic exceeds 1M. You can do it all with Netvibes. To create your own Potion, simply pick the Trigger(s) and Action(s) you want to take place. To learn more about Potions, please visit our FAQ page.

Samsung’s ARTIK is an IoT development platform that supports a wide variety of smart devices and apps, including the Runkeeper app, iHealth oximeter, Fitbit, and other wearables. By bringing together ARTIK as the data collection layer and Netvibes as the automation layer, Netvibes and Samsung are empowering users to do more with the Internet of Things.

Trend-Tracing Triggers: The Next Evolution in Business Analytics Automation

With Trend-Tracing Triggers, you can create Potions based on historical data and predictive analytics. Go beyond what just happened; automate business actions based on what is currently happening or what is forecast to happen in the future.

TTT_llu_headerEN

Potions (available for all Netvibes dashboards) make it simple to program interactions between your apps, data and connected devices. [To learn more about Potions, please visit our FAQ page].

Business professionals often use Netvibes Potions to automate decision-making based on data insights. For example: When monthly web traffic exceeds 1M, then send an email to the CEO. Our enterprise customers tell us they love Potions because they always know immediately when something important has just happened.

With new Trend-Tracing Triggers, Netvibes takes BI automation to the next level. Instead of just triggering when something happens, Potions can now analyze past data and use predictive analytics to identify current trends and predict the future. This means you can automate actions based on complex data patterns. For example: When monthly web traffic increases by more than 10% for five days in a row, then email the latest charts and schedule a team meeting.

New: Shared Libraries for Dashboards

Only Netvibes dashboards allow you to custom-pick the sources you want to listen to, using your Personal Corpus. Today we are pleased to take source-curation a step further with the launch of Shared Libraries, now available for all Netvibes dashboards. Libraries are customized lists of sources that are searchable, shareable and Potion-ready to help you track and analyze precisely what matters to your business.

ill_00_lib

All Netvibes Premium users can create their own custom Libraries; simply select the sources you want to include in your Library. These Libraries can then be shared with and used by all Netvibes users–including Basic and VIP users. (Compare all features here). Shared Libraries retain the same sources included in the original publisher’s Library. That means when you share a Library, all of your Library-subscribers will see the same list of articles. For example, if your Premium dashboard has 12 months of AutoSave articles and you create a Library, then all of the AutoSave articles will appear in your Shared Library.

Libraries can contain an unlimited number of sources and articles and are continuously updated. PR agencies can create separate Libraries to track different types of media, such as: “Tier-1 Business Press,” “Trade Press,” “Developer blogs,” etc. Professional users may want to share Libraries with colleagues and peers as way of spreading knowledge and establishing thought leadership–for example: “Top IoT blogs” or “Big Data publications.”

On February 25, Netvibes will host a free webinar in partnership with GreenBook. We invite you to join us to learn how real Netvibes customers use social analytics as part of their market research strategy.

There is a wealth of social data and other information online being shared by your customers, competitors and industry thought leaders. On Twitter alone, 6000 new tweets are posted every second, totaling around 500 million tweets per day. As the deluge of data continues to multiply, how can you effectively capture and analyze this information as part of your overall market research strategy?

Join us for a free webinar, hosted by Netvibes in partnership with GreenBook, in which we will explore how to use diverse sources of web and social data to better understand your customers, market trends and competitors, as well as your own brand and products. Working with a live Netvibes dashboard and a real-world business case, we will demonstrate how a well-known luxury automotive manufacturer uses Netvibes analytic dashboards to:

  • Aggregate and analyze data from diverse online sources, including news, social media, blogs, forums and industry research, to identify important automotive trends
  • Understand real customer needs and wants by analyzing what they are saying about specific car features and attributes, new models, brands and competitors in real time
  • Compare and contrast social data with insights from other market research tools and processes, including focus groups, surveys and customer service data
  • Design innovative new car features, inspired by a variety of sources, and identify potential product issues more quickly
  • Gain competitive advantage over other automotive companies

Boost Your Website Traffic with Netvibes’ Free “Top 3” App

Looking for new ways to drive clicks to your website? The Netvibes “Top 3” App automatically calculates your site’s Top 3 most-popular articles read via Netvibes and displays the links in an attractive, free app embedded right on your website.

ill-top3_201602

Free to use and easy to install, the Top 3 App is a simple way to showcase more of your website’s content for visitors in order to drive more clicks to your pages and increase readership. Netvibes media partners report that the Top 3 app drives up to 2% of their total website traffic and has more than doubled the number of pages-viewed-per-visitor.

“At Journal du Geek, we found that readers who click on stories through the Netvibes Top 3 app are reading twice as many pages as other site visitors. As a result, Netvibes is driving increased page views and increased advertising revenue for us–just by using a free app.”

– Gregori Pujol, Partner at Just Digital Group Media

“Since we embedded the Netvibes Top 3 app on Potins.net and Gameblog, our analytics show that the Netvibes app is now driving 1.5 – 2% of our total website traffic.”

– Cedric Rouanet, CEO of E-Borealis

Want to try the free Netvibes Top 3 App for yourself? Follow the simple instructions below:

First of all, make sure that your website’s feed URL has already been added to at least one Netvibes dashboard – though the more dashboards, the better the results. Then grab your feed URL and paste it in the form below. After clicking on the “Get app’s code” button, copy the generated app code and paste it into your website (please refer to your website’s documentation to know where you can paste it).

Ta-daa! You now have a Top 3 app on your website that will automatically be updated whenever your top read articles on Netvibes change.

Quick reminder: You can similarly embed any UWA app into your website. To do so, spot the UWA app you want to embed in the Ecosystem catalog and click on Share / Blog export. You’ll land on a page like this one where you can copy the code to paste on your website.
