Cannes festival has opened its doors, and we've been thinking about you! Every year there is a lot of stars, glitters and suspense....To keep informed of what's going on during this event, take a tour on the Cahiers du cinema's public page (there's an english version). You will find press releases about the festival, videos and other useful tools.

To check out the latest news from the Cannes festival organization comittee, you can install its widget on your page, so you won't miss any exciting events. Or if you want to keep up to date with new movie releases, you can install the Jaman Trailershow widget or the Spill movie review widget. You'll be able to watch new movie trailers all year long!

The most important migration of netvibes history starts today. We are moving all netvibes users to Ginger.

Some of you may have already been migrated when you read these lines. We are excited by this migration that will enable users to access all new features.

During the upgrade, you may encounter feedburner stats issues, but everything should be fixed shortly when the migration is completed.

Our team is working diligently to limit technical issues during the process.

First and foremost, please accept our apologies for the downtime following netvibes' major architecture upgrade.

We anticipated a few hours (3 hours) of downtime but encountered unforeseeable unusual technical details. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused.

This update was needed for major architecture improvements that will enhance better performance and build exciting new features.

Everyone on Ginger

Everyone will be on Ginger. The most important migration of netvibes history is in progress and all accounts starting with the most used, will be migrated to Ginger.

All your existing subscriptions on Coriander will be added to your Ginger account. In the interim and due to the volume of Users to be migrated, we had to shut down the server and temporarily disable the friend features. Do not despair, they will be online again soon.

Thanks to your incredible feedback, Ginger is now ready for massive deployment.

We have listened to you: create a public netvibes (or universe), is no longer mandatory. You can activate it anytime later.

We have worked on localization: our new CDN has improved dramatically both in speed and acceleration worldwide (USA, Europe, China, Africa, South America)

We will have a localized our start page for 140 countries and region thanks to our Localization Team. This is believed to be the biggest number of countries supported for any web 2.0 company in the world.

Netvibes platform

We have rebuilt our entire backend and made improvements about how content on netvibes can be manipulated. A whole new set of APIs for every service on netvibes will be available soon. People will be able to leverage their widgets in a whole new different way.

Even with a great product, we want to ensure that our message, our vision and what we believe makes us different from bigger players. Look out for upcoming blogposts about our new corporate web site.

Netvibes business services

Our Business Team is working hard to create more and more cool widgets from publishers and services like financiers, utilities and tv media to be available on your netvibes. This new unit will be announced during the web 2.0 conference.
